The morning HES and crew arrived, I had second thoughts on removing a certain area of my Satillo tiled deck and tiled patio. Haney was so understanding and explained that he'd start on the concrete and enclosure removal to give me time to see/decide when they get to the deck portion. This put me right at ease. When his crew arrived, they got right on task, like a systematic work plan. This was so reassuring for me (i've had my share of disappointments in the past from contractors.) HES crew delivered. "THANK YOU". They did such great work and sure know what they are doing. This crew worked so hard and worked practically nonstop in the HEAT. They had a positive vibe which was nice to see while doing such hard work. THE JOB / was to demolish a large patio with thick concrete patio, remove a partial patio enclosure and Saltillo tiles on a large upper deck area. They also had to saw off tiles for a sewer reroute to be accessed and coordinated this with the sewer contractor. They are truly 5 star fantastic team. Im happy i found HES. The value for this project was very reasonable.

There was a bit of a hiccup on the day of due to a bit of miscommunication between the office to the supervisor, however, with a quick phone call, it was resolved quickly and the job still got done in a timely manner. Their pricing was very competitive and customer service was excellent. Also, no complaints with the job that was completed! Thank you, BK Demolition!

Said they would need to drill a hole in the bottom of the pool to drain the water, I told them they actually didn't because it was a soft bottom pool which the salesperson didn't seem familiar with. The water table is too high to drill a hole being close to the river and I can drain it with a trash pump and 100 feet of 3 in hose that I could take care of myself. Explained that I wanted the concrete deck around the pool also taken out and they said it can be used as fill material, which they also said they do frequently and it would be no problem. Talked about adding some gravel to the concrete fill and compacting everything every 18 inches or so to ensure things were stable and wouldn't settle later. Said they do this routinely as well. Also asked for 12 inches of top soil, which they said was no problem. Finally got the quote and it was actually wrong. It listed an entire pool's worth of clean fill material (over 100 cubic yards is needed) and 12,000 dollar charge with no breakdown showing reuse of the concrete decking as fill material, indicated disposal of pool equipment which I told them I would take out and sell on my own (I installed it), no breakdown in material costs for the remaining fill, no labor costs, and just general description of the actual work to be done and a line for me to pay the permit fees separately. I've had lots of contractors at my house and have never been asked to pay a separate fee for a permit, they've always included the permit fee in the job quotes. I contacted them and told them the quote was nothing like what we discussed and asked them to revise it based on the conversation that was held about concrete reuse, the amount of fill material, and the pool equipment. They said they would provide a new quote. New quote never showed up. I can't speak for anyone else's experience, but this was one of the worst contractor interactions I've ever been associated with for just simply getting a quote. Can't even begin to imagine how much oversight I would have to give them for the work to prevent errors if they can't even provide an accurate quote. I don't recommend them.

RGM Construction - New siding and paint

Excellent, professional, and dependable contractor!…read more RGM Construction, Inc. repaired the dry rot on the fireplace chimney siding, and we had an excellent experience from start to finish. Ruben provided one of the most detailed estimates we received. He clearly explained the scope and process, which helped us understand exactly what we were paying for and make an informed decision. We had received a lower estimate from another contractor, but the scope left too many unanswered questions and potential surprises once the work began. Ruben's professionalism also stood out. He provided the contract electronically for signing as well as a hard copy in a professional folder, along with proof of general liability insurance. His contractor credentials were also easy to verify through the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB), which gave us additional confidence. Ruben truly underpromised and overdelivered. The project was estimated to take until Monday, especially considering the weekend temperatures were over 100°F, but they started Friday and completed the work the following day. The job site was left clean, and the workmanship was excellent. RGM Construction, Inc. is definitely a contractor I would keep on my list for future projects and confidently recommend to others. Ruben was easy to communicate with, dependable, professional, and followed through on what he promised. Overall, we are very happy with the work and would gladly work with RGM Construction again.
