# 500 Review Saved…read moreit specifically for Thy City I Love... My 1st review on a City ever There's so much to say about Yorba Linda. Let me say it was the Best Decision ever to purchase our 1st Home together in Yorba Linda, summer of 2015. My husband and I looked at Hones in other great cities, Irvine, Cypress to name a few and even looked to stay in Fullerton/Near Troy HS. We were looking literally almost 5 years. When we looked in Yorba Linda, i just knew of this city as the well known Richard Nixon Library along with it being his birthplace. Never thought I'd be raising our little humans here. It's been almost 8 years living at the Land of the Gracious Living. And loving every second of it. Watching our kids grow, meeting and going to school with other great families. The neighbors are all so friendly and even strangers that ends up being friends. Everyone is all so welcoming since we moved here and we have made other new families feel welcoming. I haven't heard any negativity from anyone that has moved to our town. It's quite a bummer reading other reviews about Yorba Linda stating it's a snobby town. I highly recommend looking into purchasing here in YL. You'll get your moneys worth for the amount of land you get. When we moved here in 2015 the town hasn't had much development as of big stores. Until In 2017 i would like to say. We finally have our own Yorba Linda Town center right next to Old Town Yorba Linda Main Street. It's a beautiful town center with our very own Regal theater. Our new Public Library is a beautiful place to visit for books & other children department programs they have to offer. The city is definitely a knit tight community. I grew up almost basically my entire like in Fullerton and I didn't feel a sense of closeness for the less than 8 years I've been here as much as I feel living in Yorba Linda. We have so many parks also. The biggest addition to one of the best parks is we recently just had our newly renovated Adventure Playground added to one of our parks. Definitely a Must visit! It's a pretty safe city to raise or begin a family here. The school ratings was definitely one of the reason why we chose to bought our 1st home here.

Two times I needed help or guidance with problems became extremely difficult as employees just will not respond to emails. Why? I have no idea. Always some lame excuse as to why. The venue hosts all kinds of gatherings - from community classes and craft fairs to private parties and celebrations. it has a variety of rooms and spaces you can rent depending on what you need. There is ample amount of parking in the lot, which was nice for the events I have attended. The center was little tricky to find because it's hidden but just use Google Maps and it will guide you right to the location. If you're looking for a practical, clean venue with good parking for a medium to large event, this is a solid option.

The space is a large, open area with a 100-person occupancy - making it a great option for bigger gatherings. Tables and chairs are included with the rental + staff handles the setup and breakdown which was a huge convenience. Tablecloths are not provided, so you'll need to bring your own if you want them. The rental rates are phenomenal, especially for an air-conditioned space during the summer heat. We did run into a couple of minor hiccups - the Bluetooth connection wasn't working initially, but several staff members came by to troubleshoot and thankfully we were able to get it working. Unfortunately, the sink also backed up at the beginning of our event while we were washing hands, so we weren't able to use it for the remainder of the event. Despite those small issues, I would absolutely rent this space again. The combination of the affordable price, spacious layout, included amenities, and overall ease of the rental process makes it a great value for hosting an event.

City of Orange does not care about its employees. Mainly…read moreit's part-time, that still provides support where full time can't. The city is in a financial downhill, lots of issues in the streets and parks. If you suggest or speak up on issues that will help (professionally of course) they shut you down. If you're part time, honoring the required hours they still treat you like CRAP. It's way too old school of a culture & mindset which is why the city is where it's at. Tony Gallegos is one main prime example from parks maintenance. Too old to lead or TO adapt to multiple environments and changes. He is closed to change and changing times/dynamics. He doesn't care about your plans outside of work and he wants your whole life around a measly 19 hours a week part time job. He has a BAD attitude and is so unprofessional. If you suggest meetings, rather than mitigate an easy fix problem, they just get rid of you. They even fired a coworker with no just cause. No warnings or coaching. It's mostly a money deal since he was due for a cola raise and annual raise. There was no performance based issues. We were there for two years. Serving our community proudly since we live in the area.

There's a picnic area near the entrance, if you're so inclined. So much history on the grounds and in the house.
