Finally decided I could not tackle this alone, so I called Beth. Best idea I've had in a long time. She got back to be promptly and I described my situation. We arranged a time for her to come over. She quoted about 5, maybe 6 hours total, and that I would not have to be there the whole time if I did not want. I stayed, (mostly because it was so much fun to see what I actually had. I spent a lot of time saying" wow, I don't remember buying that. Or wow, I didn't know I had that.) I also tried on lots of clothes and shoes to help decide if I wanted to " keep or donate". Ended up with 5 bags of garbage and 16 bags for donation, plus about $500 worth of clothing with tags on it to return, and several purses taken to a consignment store. ( hey, every little bit helps.) It took a total of 6 hours. Totally worth it!! Beth worked the whole time. And did the final organizing and folding and hanging and rearranging. She made great suggestions on how and where and why to store things in certain places. The room looks so great now, clutter free and clean and fresh. So easy to find what I am looking for. Life Changing!!!!! I decided to approach my challenges with home organization like I do other…read morethings in my life that need professional attention. After an initial eval with Lisa, I decided to book a session with one of the organizers, Amy. The day came and in 3 hours we made so much progress in one room that had been stressing me out. This is NOT a one-time thing for me. I realize my clutter and disorganization is more than just being messy - I need some instruction and support to have a more organized home. And that support is best done by a professional who has no emotional attachment to me or my stuff! Amy kept me on task for 3 hours. She guided me and provided feedback along the way. I used her services to organize my kitchen pantry which was a hot mess and in under 30 minutes she was able to completely change the way we were organizing and using our kitchen. Fast forward a few weeks and my company gave us a WFH stipend to use on upgrading our offices. Living in a room that is also my office, I was realizing that pandemic and life clutter were drastically affecting my motivation, concentration and productivity. I decided to use that stipend on virtual sessions with Sarah. W O W. In two sessions (both 2 hours long) we completely redid my room (see photos I will attach with this review soon). My 12 year old daughter has a place for everything in her room/bathroom now and is so excited to use all the organizing skills Savana (her pro organizer... more like organizing mentor) taught her!
