For a main, I ordered the Pollo alla Romana which was a whole chicken breast cooked with sage, parma ham, and a side of potatoes and salad. We also had a garlic pizza to share. They gave us chilli oil and parmesan on the side for extra seasoning. Everything was great! I'm normally not too enthusiastic about ordering chicken breast at a restaurant but it was extremely juicy - I didn't know chicken breast could be that tender! There were great flavours all around. The only negative is that I recommend you pass on the garlic pizza. It was pretty bland and needed a heft amount of chilli oil and parmesan to save it. --- Overall, I highly recommend Cafe Citta. Next time, I would try one of their pasta dishes as my partner raved about his Tagliatelle Carbonara!

I generally order online, and they have a nice new feature, which lets you see when your orders been received, your food's being prepared, and the deliveryman is on his way (the techno geek in me loved this). Finally if you're a student I recommend you order over the phone, as there's no way to claim your student discount online.

The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful. Although not on the menu, we asked if we could sample all the beers they make which was no issue at all and all surprisingly cheap. They had a variety of beers from light mango beer, through to chocolate beer and even a 'black' beer. The smell from each beer was incredible and the bartender told us the reasoning behind each recipe and the flavours we should be able to taste with each glass. To line our stomachs as we drank we ordered a couple of things off the menu. We had the sharing starter which was smoked salmon , tomatoes, Parma ham and goats cheese on ciabatta followed by the thermidore mussels. Both of which were very good, the sauce on the mussels was Devine, incredibly rich and creamy ! They do have quite a limited menu here (mainly mussels, pizza and salad) but what they do have looks and tastes brilliant. They have a great open kitchen with an impressive pizza oven and each pizza looked incredible. I'd definitely come back here when we have a little more time and spend a bit longer trying to beers and taking in the atmosphere. I had Tuna Carpaccio to start (delicious) followed by the steak dish (medium rare steak & celeriac on one side of the plate with a little tower of melt-in-the-mouth braised beef stacked on sweet red cabbage on the other side of the plate - really, reeeeeeeally good). My friends opted for some of the vegetarian dishes and said that they were delicious (especially the mushroom risotto with truffle oil). Usually, after two courses, dessert would be out of the question, but the food was too good to resist, so we shared profiteroles, chocolate fondant and tiramisu with even sampled the dessert wines. All were superb. The bottle of red that we chose (after some very helpful advice from our waiter; a wonderfully funny guy who spoke seven languages!) was fantastic. Smooth and mellow; exactly what we were after. And then, towards the end of the night, our charming waiter brought round the other bottle of wine we were fancying and gave everyone upstairs a free glass to try! What a lovely touch. The food was fantastic, the staff were friendly and professional and very helpful, the wine was great and the bill didn't break the bank.
