I don't know how long they have offered vegan options, though it seems like the restaurant itself has been around a few years. But there are too menus: one for omnivores and one for veggies. It's somewhat nondescript in decor, but the restaurant has a lot of seating, and an "open" counter area where you can see your pizza dough being rolled out, toppings being added, and the final product placed in the oven. I've had the spinach pizza and also the mista...both were pretty good, though I think the first one I had was better (I was also a bit buzzed when I ate it, which made it irresistible to me). I also found that the pizzas are a bit salty, which is fine because I am a salt fanatic, but something worth noting. All in all, I don't think Zeus is THE BEST VEGAN PIZZA EVER, but if I am craving a bite and in the neighborhood, it certainly is a solid option.

Everything on the menu is really affordable and I ordered the funghi pizza, which is about €6. My only issue with the pizza was that it needed a more generous glaze of oil or butter on the crust, along with some more tomato sauce because the pizza was a tad dry. I also ordered the tiramisu for dessert and the consistency and texture of this tiramisu reminded me of the ones from Italy. The spoon would easily sink into the dessert and you could see the decadent layers with each bite. I go here a lot for lunch, .. and dinner, and sometimes even for a late night snack. Usually I will get the zucchini and the funghi, but sometimes I mix up the latter. You see, this is where the brilliance of this over the top fabulous pizza joint comes in.. you order by slice (actually one slice is three slices... don't be confused), and they make the slice fresh for you there and then. No heating up, i.e. no soggy pizza. Instead you can expect fresh ingredients, and a thin crispy close to perfect crust - all served up on a wooden board. They change the interior about every month, or second month, or something like that.. each time a new artist, a new theme. It's a hit or miss kinda thing. Still, it's the pizza you come for, so who cares? At least it gives the place character. It can be rather busy at peak times, and in summer you are lucky if you can find a spot on the outdoor communal tables. The wait is totally worth it though. The Bufala margherita pizza is a thing of beauty, topped with large, generous portions of mozzarella and fresh basil. But the sauce and crust were so good I could have eaten the whole thing plain. At 9 EUR for the Bufala margherita (and only 5 EUR for a basic one) I'll definitely be back here.
