I am adding this place on Yelp because I whish I had read a honest comment about it before going there. I went to Pizza storica because Al Cavino was full, it looked like a good alternative. My pizza was OK but the one my friend took (capriciosa) wasn't: almost no topping and the promising sausage that was part of it was in fact a hot dog. Until then, it wasn't good but eatable. Then came the tiramisu. A tiramisu that came straight from the limbo, or a week of wait in the fridge. It was unqualifiable, we told the waiter that it wasn't good and after he smelled them, he took them back to the kitchen quietly. read more

The crust is thick, not Napolitean style. But crispy and good. Then they cut it checkerboard style. This I haven't seen before. But you can then eat it with a fork. It gets very crowded so get there early. Seems to be a favorite with the local families. A unique experience and a wonderfully different kind of pie.

It was SO much food we stuffed ourselves and had to leave some of the food. The food was delicious! Don't be afraid to get a pizza with anchovies! I didn't think I'd like it but I did. All I noticed was a saltiness. We also ordered a 1.5 liter bottle of soda. The price was reasonable.
