This was my first time eating there; my family has been frequenting this place for years. Since I live in the US my visits to the Lago di Garda are rare.
However if you should be somewhere in Northern Italy you should make a point of stopping and have one of the most wonderful meals you will have.
The place is is unpretentious as they come and they have preserved the Italian way to the very end.
The pizza is brilliant, simple, not overloaded with dozens of meats and cheese.
We had Margherita - 10 of 10; Vesuvio maybe even better and finally a pizza with porcini;
Go and try it for yourself it's heaven on a pie
Then to the seafood, yeah you heard right seafood. Fresh and hand picked else the owners Pasquale and Guiseppe won't buy it
The Spaghetti allo Scoglio features mussels, clams, shrimp, octopus and calamari and scallops.
Together with a dream of a super light sauce and tiny fresh tomatoes it was better than heaven on a plate.
The grilled seafood plate with all of the above plus some langustinos and wonderfully fresh bass filet was evenly wonderful.
My father prefers the Spaghetti Vongole, delightfully light and sweet
Local wines round out quite a wonderful meal;
Desserts - you have to go there and try it for yourself.
