The fluorescent lights are too sterile - they may save money but why can't they use the bulbs with coating that makes it feel like an incandescent bulb with warm light! The coperto (cover charge) was too much - 3 Euros - for the limited service (no offer of spicy oil or red pepper flakes) or if we liked our pizzas. The servers seemed distracted by the band setup for later and the fact that only one other table was filled and they had nothing to do but stand around and talk to each other. The pizza was undercooked by any standard - doughy and soft. Okay flavor but texture was not good. Perhaps it suffers from that classic - "We don't work hard unless we are busy." mentality so many servers have. If you do go, go much later - like 9 pm or later and you will probably get better service and pizza.

We ordered an anitpasto platter to start (to taste and decide if we would order more or leave!) and birra a la spina (beer on tap) and he brought us two Vallinkers in frozen branded mugs with branded coasters. Very tasty and different. The rustic Sicilian antipasti platter was elegantly presented on a crystal tray. Honestly we can say it was the most artfully arranged and delicious antipasti platter we have ever had, anywhere - hands down. This was followed by tagliatelle with prosciutto and thin asparagus. Nice mom and pop place with some family members gathered in one area enjoying their own menu items. We enjoyed the pizza and beer. We could tell it was near closing but there was no rush to push us out. This is Sicily. Community, people, family, friendliness is more important than rushing people out. What a nice island. There was a 2 Euros cover charge added to the bill. We've seen this before in other nice restaurants. Still worth it.
