Without a doubt, one of the worst food experiences I have had in a long time. And super…read moredisappointing from a place I had high hopes for. First of all, this restaurant is owned by the same people that own the amazing pizzeria in Bockenheim of the same name. I love that place and it is a solid 5 star experience every time I go there. This restaurant is its polar opposite. Da Cimino is located in my neighborhood and has a beautiful location and massive terrace for its customers. The prices are very reasonable and they have a good menu. Those are the pluses. We ate here tonight because we had to stay local because of our dog being injured. We arrived and sat around for at least ten to fifteen minutes before a menu was brought to us (there were about eight to ten tables filled... that was it). We ordered promptly and I ordered a pizza with pepperoniwurst and ananas (pepperoni and pineapple) because they had shitty vegetarian options, in my opinion. The pizzas came out to us around 15-20 minutes later and mine was wrong. Because I think the peppers they put on pizza in Germany is disgraceful and belong in Thai curries (they seriously never use the right ones), I didn't offer to take the wrong pizza and he was nice to fix the mistake. My partner ate his pizza right then so it wouldn't get cold. He was very underwhelmed. My pizza came out about ten minutes later and it was pale and looked so unappetizing for what I know this brand can produce when it comes to pizzas. I ate half of it and couldn't stomach the rest. It was undercooked so bad that the middle was cold and just doughy. I understand the sense of urgency as the first pizza was wrong, but cook the damn thing through please! I took the rest of the pizza home as I hate wasting food and then was absolutely repulsed at how they packed it. WHAT THE HELL!??!?! The photos I took indicate how they packed it. They packed it up with napkins and thin paper and it totally absorbed all the grease and the pizza fell apart. I am so pissed off and want my money back. But the look of the pizza made me want to vomit, so I just threw it away. I had plans to go back and give this place a second shot just hoping they had a bad night. But after seeing how disrespectfully they packed my pizza they sent me home with, I doubt I'll ever make it a point to go back there. They were highly understaffed and the place was just so uninspiring. Frankfurt is the capital of mediocre food, but this really was just lousy. Dr. Oetker can make better pizzas and I literally never thought that would come out of my mouth. I am just really upset at how they packed the pizza- it is disrespectful to the product made, to the animal sacrificed for the dinner, and me as a customer. APPALLED.

As I think to write about this place the main thing I want to say is I will try going back here in…read morethe hope that it was a one off bad night for them and my post brexit bad mood wasn't just ruining my day in everyway possible. The weather was hot unbearably hot so hot our kitchen was deemed too hot to cook in, the day had started of badly with my country being ruined by a toad like man and one that cant brush his hair, but this has nothing to do with my experience here! My Girlfriend and I live around the corner and love the other (original Da Cimino) location the food is amazing and should be awarded 5*s all around. However this experience left us with a bad taste in our mouths. Firstly we sat down outside enjoying the relief of the wind being generated by an incoming storm and we waited for an eternity to get a menu, so long that we discussed if we should just leave, eventually though it arrived. The prices in the menu were pretty standard, I decided to go for a Kristall Weizen and a Hawaiian pizza. What could go wrong I love beer and I like ham and pineapple pizza with lots of mozerella. My girlfriend also ordered a beer and a pizza. As the pizzas went past for other diners they all looked great perfectly cooked and like the other location I was excited, I was going to jump for joy that I would be able to get the best pizza in Frankfurt just around the corner from my flat. Then it all went down hill. Our pizzas arrived, they had got my girlfriends order wrong and had to remake her a new pizza. My pizza just looked under cooked it didn't have the slighty charred edges or the big pockets of air that make pizzas so good. Instead it looked colourless and limp. I started eating and the taste wasn't much better than the look atleast the base had some colour to it but not enough to salvage the pizza. I finished my pizza as my girlfriends new one arrived, at which point I discovered that it could of been worse. Her pizza was so far under done that it was criminal. Not wanting to sit around much longer she ate some of it and asked for the other half of the pizza to go. They returned with the pizza in a paper bag wrapped in a plastic bag. We returned home to open it and discover they had folded it over all the toppings had slid off into the other bag and there was grease everywhere, effectively ruining her food for the night.
