Stopped here for a quick lunch while touring the mountains near Parma. The front of the restaurant…read moreis quite uninviting, with an unassuming entryway. We came in, not sure what to expect and discovered a quaint little pizzeria. We were not really looking for pizza, but stayed anyway.
We started with a couple of antipasti plates, a cheese plate and a meat plate. The products were of different quality, some good some meh. I would not order them again and go directly for the pizzas.
I ordered a pizza pazza. The waitress warned me that the crust is unusual and very thick. The pizza was really nice. The crust was crispy on the outside but pillowy on warm on the inside. It was topped with tomatoes, prosciutto and parmesan. Couldn't eat it all and the leftovers made an excellent picnic the following day.
Service was super friendly but all Italian. Make sure you train speaking with your hands if you're not fluent.
