The…read morepizza had the right toppings but the base was fundamentally soggy, and although the pasta appeared to be homemade, it was overcooked. The truffle tortelloni appeared to be a truffle-y mushroom experiment based on optimism rather than any real Italian recipe, and the carbonara was unappetizing enough that my hungry, pasta obsessed kids stopped at one forkful. Me also. Hard pass.

Fantastic food and service! Generous portions…read more Our waiter was friendly and pleasant from the moment we stepped into the door. Our first experience since having been in Germany for a week where we didn't feel alienated for not being able to speak German beyond the basics. He immediately brought over English menus without us asking and was happy to speak in English with us. Beyond that, the food is delicious and it's the first place I've been to where I thought to myself "I want to go back!" I ordered a spritz, Caesar salad, and bolognese. The salad was large enough for me to share with 2 others. And I am currently eating my bolognese takeaway the day after. It's so good it inspired me to leave a positive review.

Super authentic." which may be true for the person who wrote that. But: nice food decently priced, I might go again when in the area. Would I drive a 30+ min detour just to dine here (mandatory in my ranking to get five stars)? Not very likely. Still recommended.

The restaurant was never busy, so it was a nice place to grab a meal. The salads and pizza tasted fresh. They have a large menu so I think I'd be open to tasting some other menu items based off of what I did eat. It was quiet when we visited and staff mostly cleaned or seemed to be getting ready for more guests. One thing to note that I did not see in many restaurants is that they include a service fee in their bill. Not a big deal, but they did not mention it and I saw it.

One waiter was pissed off at his coworkers, and I'm guessing he must be the manager because anyone else would be fired with his attitude . I was pretty patient waiting for my food and dismissed getting a dirty plate and the forgotten beverage. However, the last straw was when I had to go up to the counter to pay and after waiting five minutes , he got upset at me for asking him for the bill. They didn't give me a bill and I just paid the amount hoping it was correct. it was overpriced for the quality of food and service. I recommend going elsewhere. I couldn't wait to get out of there.
