After a bit of shopping at the snazzy new Broadway shopping centre across the road we stopped in for some sustenance and I was not disappointed. Authentic Italian pizza at an affordable price right in the heart of the centre. We got a full pizza which was more than enough for 3 people, we had 2 slices left over. We got half and half, half margarita and half tuna and sweet corn. I definitely preferred the margarita. The place itself is very spacious with plenty of indoor seating. The interior looks a little run down but it actually adds to the ambiance of the place and I really liked the overall feel. You can buy by the slice too which is convenient. I'll be back.

Don't get me wrong, it's good late at night when you're drunk or hungry or both, and it's actually quite cheap. The menu is extensive, and they whip the food up in pretty quick time. But to me it seems that all the pizzas are basically the same (there's like 50 on the menu or something) and none of them are particularly special - I'd probably choose the calzone over anything else. But what really riles me is that they charge 10p for a can of Rubicon compared to a normal, boring drink. I am a firm believer than Rubicon is one of the joys of the world and should be available at standard prices so that everyone tries it at least once. Mmm...mango.

After browsing Just Eat for a while I decided on Sinbad's, which had a high average rating, and a surprisingly large number of ratings compared to other places, but I went for it anyway! I opted for a pizza as I've fallen out a little with my previous regular places due to a downturn in quality. Delivery came on time, and although the delivery boy wasn't all smiles or anything, he had the change from a tenner ready and waiting in his pocket, which I was quite impressed with. The pizza itself was pretty good - I went for a deep pan chicken tandori. The toppings were plentiful and tasty, and the crust wasn't too big (this gets right on my nerves!). Overall, a good first experience. I'm not sure if eating it whilst watching Jean-Claude Van Damme cry made it better or worse though! But I'll definitely have another go at something else on the menu in the future.

Most definitely...THE BEST TAKEAWAY IN LEEDS!…read more There is a general consensus in the Leeds area that Pitza-Cano is the tastiest and best value for money! It was the first takeaway joint to open in the Hyde Park area so has had enough time to perfect it's award winning formula. You run the risk of ordering food poisoning with chips if you call a random number from one of the many offered in the outskirts of the city centre. However you can order with piece of mind with Pitza-cano, knowing your piece of pizza is going to be nothing but yummy! The menu is diverse and even offers some healthier options away from the obvious takeaway dishes (such as humous and pitta and ceasar salads.) And...,as if it couldn't get any better, Pitza-cano also delivers "booze and cigs" to your front door! What a perfect night in! You can call for delivery on orders over £6 or collect from the building itself. Happy Munching!!!

I never ventured far from their pizzas so couldn't tell you much about anything else from there, but the pizzas are definitely worth a go for some post night out action. Oh and once upon a time I heard the most random question ever in there: Who would win in a fight between a polar bear and a hippo on an astroturf? I decided the polar bear would win, but we always got pretty much 50/50 responses on asking anyone else! Thank you Pizza Cano for that memory!!

Gone was the lunch-ish "quality" pizza place next to Blue Rinse and up had sprung the slightly greasier, not-quite-smutty-sounding Munch Box. Old one shuts, new one opens, but was there much rejoicing? First of all, I am delighted that the proprietor feels that BAKED BEANS are so appealing, and such a fascinating part of their core offering, that they've included a large picture of them on their wall. As I'd wager that this is the only Leeds establishment open past 2am that features the word "escalope" on its menu, you might have thought that they'd choose to illustrate something a little less commonly known. I know we're in a world of "This coffee may be hot", but pictures of beans is more "You have to pay for your food" or "Our air breathable". If you need signs like that and you're currently unsupervised, call 999 now. The menu is actually pretty varied, with a few different types of chicken, then various kebabs, burgers and something called "pastas". I'm not quite sure what these are, but I saw another guy order it and it looked like bleached worms. It came in a metal tray so maybe it's dangerous? I don't know. The chicken doner meat is probably the best on this side of the city centre though, and they also do Yorkshire puddings, which always seem like such an awesome budget takeaway idea, but I had (a very budget) one in Kirkgate market once and subsequently required 8 months of chemo, so I've gone off them a bit. At the very least, it's still somewhere you can get a portion of chips till 3am while you wait for Kadas next door to put together your chicken and cheese sandwich. If someone braves the "full roast dinner" for £5, PLEASE leave a review. The whole business premise seems to be built around catching the passing detritus from Chilli Whites at the weekend but it's dead the rest of the time, so it may not last all that long anyway.

The menu is vast and offers a large span of food choice ranging from Pizza to Curries, Donner Kebabs to Baguettes and even Burgers to Fudge Cake. If you fancy a greasy treat you will most definitley get what you fancy here! I ordered an American Hot from the huge choice of pizza's and did enjoy it very much! What made it even more enjoyable was the price (two 11inch pizzas for £7.99...bargain!!). One of my friends however ordered a curry which at £6 was more expensive than what traditional curry houses have to offer and didn't taste a scratch curries restaurants such as "Agrahs" cook up! Uni Pizza deliver a great pizza at a great price! However the vast menu makes me slightly skeptical about what cuisine they specialize in and how yummy the food can be on such a contrasting menu can be! Another worrying point is that they don't seem to have an address and anyone I have spoke to hasn't ever seen their premises. Despite all this, they cook a smashing pizza at a smashing price with great deals on more than one pizza! I suppose that should be all we need to know from a student takeaway joint aye!

They're a quid, which is fairly good value for those who are too scared to face a whole pizza (however, it's better value to get a whole one and finish it off for breakfast if you have no shame like me) and they're pretty tasty whether you're sober or drunk (most people in here will be the latter). Sometimes, however, you get the last slice of a pizza that's been sitting around for ages and has gone a little bit stale or soggy, and it's not the most pleasant culinary experience. Me & the Mr went for a unplanned pizza Thurs eve to celebrate the start of our weekend (well, you know it's nice to be nice to yourself occasionally!). It was surprisingly quiet and we were shown straight to a window table (YEY!) I had to use the facilities which I must comment on as having a bit of a smell to them! Not ideal but they were clean at least. We made our selection and added a bottle of wine to accompany. Service was nice and swift. Now, I'm starting to get a bit fond of this eating out lark and the waistline is starting to show this so for the first time ever, at Pizza Express, I didn't get the dough balls!!! And, the death stare I gave at the mere suggestion of a portion getting onto our table for the Mr was indeed taken as I meant it, he got none either. i must say I was glad when the pizza came and I rarely actually finish one. I'd started to feel that my last 2 or 3 visits the pizzas have been shrinking in size but the ones provided to us Thursday definitely instilled the confidence back in me. They were piping hot, topped to perfection, and both polished off in under 15 mins! I like places who concentrate one one food and therefore if I'm looking for pizza I go here or pizza hut mainly(and the odd Dominoes) and I'm glad to say I'm still a big fan. There's always some kind of offer on and even with the wine- £23(ish) bill for 2 full bellies and a tipsy Mr was good. They know what they do and they do it well. (mostly)

The menu is a bit simple, but it works because no-one likes an over complex pizza menu. The atmosphere is always fairly good, but the fact that it's so family orientated can be annoying if you're trying to relax. This is really the only thing it can be criticised for, however, as everything else is spot on - tasty food, reasonable prices and a good selection of wines, and good service. And really nice olives.
