About 10 of us were at my dad's house visiting and helping out. When it was time for dinner, dad recommended I go pick up some pizza at this local place. I ordered 3 Greek salads and 4 pizzas: 2 XL House special pizzas, 1 XL cheese and 1 gluten free pizza. We all enjoyed some salad and pizza, and there was leftovers as well. The pizza was excellent, very tasty, full of cheese and generous toppings. The pizza ingredients were tasty and fresh. The crust was thicker but very nicely risen and flavorful. The greek salads were good as well (the only thing missing was olives, which is usual for Greek salad). The staff was very kind and nice to speak with. When I arrived they were busy with a lot of pick up orders. We waited just a few more minutes for our pizza to finish and we got them piping hot to bring home. The facility is small, and clearly does a lot of delivery and take out, although they have a few tables for people who wanted to sit down and eat a meal at the pizza shop. The prices were quite reasonable for a small town like this. Overall, Stettler Pizza has surprisingly excellent pizza, warm and gracious staff, and reasonable prices. When I return for family visits, I will be back.

I would say that it was better than average though. The bacon was cooked just right and the hashbrowns were quite tasty. I didn't check for WiFi but cell service was good which we expected since we're in a town. The owner came to chat with us for a while. He lives right next door so he's basically always here. That's always a good sign. There were other customers here at 11:30 when we arrived. There's lots of parking if you are towing a trailer. There's even a trailer sandi-dump next door if you're in need of one. All in all this is a good place to stop for a bite in Castor.

We had resigned ourselves to a fast food chain when we spotted Nick's Family Restaurant. It's spacious and they seem to take the pandemic seriously with hand sanitizer and tables spaced out. A lot of rural businesses only have the signs up and do little else. The staff at Nick's are doing things right regarding Covid-19. I ordered a basic hamburger and my partner ordered a chicken cordon bleu sandwich and both upgraded to the yam fries. Those were likely the best yam fries that I've ever had, not that I order them all that often. Our sandwiches and burger were both good and very good value considering the price. The service was kind and efficient. With such an extensive menu, I am pretty impressed that every meal we ordered was delicious and fresh. I had the Greek chicken souvlaki and it was phenomenal. Supposedly the chef is Greek and it shows. 10/10 The burger was also a huge hit. The fries are perfectly crispy! 10/10 The cheese pizza was good. We could really taste the Parmesan and crust was thick. 8/10 The fettuccini Alfredo was creamy and a good portion. 9/10 The children also enjoyed their meals. I would return if in the area for sure!
