This Pizza Ranch, has very good food! Especially the broasted chicken, I wish they would supply more broasted chicken legs on their buffet, as that is a very popular piece of chicken. Mainly because this is a family buffet and kids love chicken legs. And so do I! On the down side it is noisy with all the kids in there. It is very popular and fills up quickly when it's open for operation. Here's a good hint for you too. At the end of the meal when I want to have ice cream for dessert, I dump out the ice from drink, and fill the glass up with ice cream, and then add my favorite pop for a float! Plus you get a lot more ice cream that way! read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I understand we ordered food very late for delivery, but fully intended on leaving a nice tip. After an hour and a half, we realized we would not be eating pizza. This is horrible service as you should not just neglect orders even if they are late. read more

Pizza ranch isn't ever going to be New Haven brick oven pizza, or NYC authentic street pizza, or even the barely-counts-as-food-let-alone pizza Chicago Deep Dish, but my good god, is this place perfect for cramming your gullet full of delicious cheese bread and sauce after a long day of bicycle riding. You can have a buffet and eat immediately or order takeout,of the same items, and wait 30 minutes. Not a very efficient operation. Also nowhere on the menu or signage is the price for the buffet. read more

We were there 01/05/2019. The family was a large group of at least 14 of us they came from near and far to celebrate those of us having January birthdays. They gave us our own room. Employees were very attentive and came often to check on us and clear away dirty dishes. The place was hopping with activity and was busy, but for the most part the employees kept up. The pizza was always stocked on the buffet with very little wait to be replenished. The fried chicken was very good being hot and fresh. Food's fine. Super poorly run. When they give you a time to pick up your order, make sure you wait thirty minutes after whatever they said. Also, not super sure why they never have someone at a counter. Hire enough people to run your shop. read more

We took our younger son here for a special night out. He loved it! It was clean!! We've been there a few times since and sometimes there is a great selection of food and others your disappointed. There are always a ton of people so I don't know why they can't keep the buffets full. Chicken is always really good, salad bar is great. I don't ever get dessert pizza it's always picked over and hardly ever any there. I refuse to eat it if it's all lumped into a pile. Great ice cream. I don't eat a ton of pizza. I go for the chicken. My husband said it's hit or miss. We have to remember to request his favorite when we order. read more

Pizza Ranch has never had the best pizza. Most people go for the chicken. However good the chicken is we will NOT be going to Pizza Ranch any more. They screwed us out of $20 in rewards. You used to have a year to used up your earned reward $$$. Now it's 30 days. 30 effing days. Are you kidding me? Way to go screwing over your customers. I can eat mediocre pizza many other places. We went for the buffet. It was very busy, but it was not my cup of tea. The pizza is very greasy and tastes weird. I am a fan of mashed potatoes and gravy, theirs was decent. Good Chicken. I lIke the salad greens with cranberries, nuts etc, a nice change from the usual salads served at restaurants. Ate some thin crust pizza--like cardboard. We were so bummed this year. Last year, on our yearly family trip through Iowa, we ate at Pizza Ranch in Atlantic. We got there at 8:30 p.m. on a Sunday, and they were super friendly and accommodating, they had lots of fresh food and even threw a fresh pizza in the oven for the kids. We were so impressed by their service, food and atmosphere! So this year, when we knew we couldn't get to Atlantic in time we looked for a Pizza Ranch in Storm Lake. Again, we walked in at 8:30 p.m. Except instead of friendly and accommodating, we were told that what they had out was all they had. The pizzas looked withered and dry, like they had been sitting out a while. And the one pizza that looked decent (chicken something) disappeared when an employee from the back came out and grabbed most of it. The fried chicken looked okay, but the corn and green beans looked shriveled and old. The salad bar looked decent, but many of the containers were nearly empty. We would have had to have been pretty desperate to pay full price and scrape together enough food for the family, and there were only 3 adults and 2 kids in our group. Fortunately, we found La Juanita downtown (open until midnight on a Sunday!). The food was amazing and the service was friendly and welcoming. We have a new favorite place in Storm Lake, sorry it isn't Pizza Ranch. read more
