Additionally, you get a free coffee for signing up for Casey's Rewards. Free things always win me over and definitely has given me a soft spot for Casey's. Staff here are friendly, as you would expect in Iowa. There's a certain indescribable charm to Casey's that just leaves me feeling content and at home. Their pizza and donuts are both delicious and I recommend both. The coffee is cheap, with a few different syrups available to self-serve, and hits the mark as far as drip coffee goes. Casey's is worth a stop whether you're driving through or just need a place to stop for a bit.

BEST PIZZA EVER!!…read more I'm not kidding; you can't ever get pizza as good as this! I have never craved food before but I found myself wanting this every night! The cheesy breadsticks are delicious too. Casey's Pizza is the ONLY thing I miss after moving away from Iowa.

The first plate I grab (they are stacked upside down) is not only wet, but has a slimey smear of either Alfredo or cheese on it, it turned my gut. I showed hubby & really wanted to leave, but since we'd paid, we thought we'd stay, the next, at LEAST 20 plated we turned over were still greasy, wet with chunks of food. One of the workers came over we showed her.She came & turned plates too. DEEP down, we found a 2 clean plates. The worker went through all the piles and took TONS back to the kitchen. Wouldn't they be checked before putting them out? They no longer have a salad bar, so the "buffet" is just coldish pizza, 2 pans of pasta , breadsticks & dessert breadsticks with no frosting. For $5.00 more, we could've went down the road to FULL buffet with pizzas, salads, broasted chicken, potatoes, desserts, soups, vegetable side dishes etc. LESSON LEARNED!

I'd recommend arriving early--the tables fill up fast. There was already a small wait forming as we were leaving. We started with the steak bites, which were very flavorful, though a bit chewy. The sides were hit or miss: the mac and cheese was delicious, but the steamed broccoli was cold. The prime rib was cooked well and came with a huge cup of au jus. We had to remind our server for the baked potato toppings, but it wasn't a big deal. The kids ordered the hot dog and mac and cheese meals. The hot dog was fine (as expected), but the mac and cheese was a little watered down. Our server was pleasant and helpful with menu questions. The best part is the view--the entire lakeside wall of windows gives a beautiful look over the water. Just be aware that the sun can hit you directly

Usually I end up getting the Stromboli or a sub which are both solid but I wanted to try something new and a bit more "Italian." I went with the Sausage and Pepper Parmigiana, a risk worth taking and probably my new favorite. I used their website to order and picked up to take home for an evening in. Service was quick, easy, and the order was packaged up nicely for transport as I live 24 miles away. I will state as others as if you are looking for a meal in - ambiance of the place is very low key, it's nothing crazy visually but the food is definitely a win!
