We like the pizza ranch in our town. If you think - oh pizza ranch is good. This place is NOT. Do not even walk in. It's filthy dirty. Soda machine is broke. Ice cream machine is broke. Chicken is so ever cooked (maybe old too) it's like a rock. See photo. It's $12.50 for a little spinach salad and tea. They have no extra toppings for a special pizza. There is not one good thing I can comment on but the spinach and dry salad toppings. Horrible place read more

Service was friendly. Food was not cooked all the way through except potatoes, cheese sticks, and drinks were fine. The tables were sticky, high chairs were not wiped down - food stuck to them. The bathrooms were in horrible condition, it was stained with the smell of feces. I would not recommend ever eating at this location. read more

I was a regular delivery customer here, until today. For some unresolved reason, this store refused to take my debit card, telling me it was rejected by my bank. I called my bank to verify this, and they said they did not decline the charge, but Pizza Ranch put a block on my debit card! Pizza Ranch outright lied to me! This was astounding to me, because I had no past issues with them. When I called the store back to provide some closure to what my bank told me, they immediately hung up the line without any preamble or warning, after I explicitly told them I would be calling them back on the first call. I absolutely gave them no reason for their behavior. I have only been a resident of Devils Lake for a year and a half, and I only know two other residents here very well. I actually liked their fried chicken, but now I shall take my business elsewhere permanently. Unfortunate. read more

Tried for a delivery at the Holiday Inn not half a mile away and never got the pizza. Called to find out what happened and was told they made our order but have no other information except the driver was already out for delivery. Never arrived. Which part of this was so difficult? We will return to Devils Lake this summer, but no way will we patronize Pizza Ranch. No way. read more

Pretty standard highway pizza buffet. Nothing special, nothing outstanding. Not bad, just ok. Salad bar wasn't bad.

This Pizza Ranch does not live up to their name. They didn't pay attention to the little details for instance their icecream machine was set to 14 degrees. Everywhere I looked, something needed to be cleaned. There was mold covering the inside of the ice dispenser. The air ducts in the bathroom were fuzzy from years of neglect. The walls and the floor were covered with questionable stains, and the booth had torn seats and was sticky. Yuck. The entire placed screamed "We just don't care" The pizza I ordered wasn't bad; I was afraid to peek into the kitchen in case I saw something else gross. However, I spent the rest of the afternoon hoping I wouldn't get sick. It's sad, I've been to other Pizza Ranches and had a great experience. This one made me feel like a needed a shower, and maybe a tetanus shot. read more

This is the worst buffet I have ever been to. To be called Pizza Ranch the selection of Pizza is limited. When I came in I had to wait on Pizza. After I got the pizza I had to wait on ice for my drink. On top of that the floors are dirty. I haven't even been in the bathroom yet. read more

Having been to a few Pizza Ranch locations in MN and ND, the Devils Lake restaurant met the standard. Though the place was busy tonight, the staff tonight was very friendly and the food satisfying. My favorite Pizza Ranch item is their fried chicken. I do not order fried chicken when ordering from a sit-down restaurant menu, but I easily go back for a second helpings at the Pizza Ranch buffet. And tonight was no different in Devils Lake. Overall, Pizza Ranch is a good value. read more

I should have eaten at Buffalo Wild Wings in Minot before I spent hours driving across North Dakota. I usually enjoy this chain of restaurants. I was traveling through town on business and most of the restaurants in town a less than desirable. Pizza ranch was not very friendly. I walked in checked out the buffet and wanted to get some chicken. I was told i had to order from the menu because the buffet stopped at 7:30. I stopped in at 7:45 and the buffet table was full of food. I told the cashier that their was food on the buffet table and she told me their was not any So I took my cash and went across the street to Pizza Hutt for some wings. I don't understand the poor reviews for this place! We had lunch here today and we were both satisfied with the buffet and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Pizza selection on the buffet was fairly extensive but something we weren't expecting was other foods also being offered like fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and several other items. Everything we tried was good. Also two different dessert pizzas were offered and last but not least soft serve ice cream was available. Took the son for the evening buffet because he likes Pizza Ranch chicken with mashed potatoes. Evening hours are suppose to be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. We arrived about 5 minutes to 5:00 paid the tab and sat at a table. Nothing was out on the buffet so we sat and listened to the staff in the kitchen talking loud and laughing. Between 5:10 and 5:15 they finally started putting pizzas on the buffet, the choice of the pizzas I might add didn't appear to be very liked by the customers as the pizzas just sat on the buffet. Finally between 5:20 and 5:30 they finally brought out chicken but still had to wait for the mashed potatoes and gravy!! The chicken went fast and it took forever for them to replenish it!!! Needless to say we left still hungry and feeling a little ripped off!!! My son and travel a lot due to business and we try to eat at all the Pizza Ranch locations that we can however this is the one Pizza Ranch that we should have avoided!! Perhaps with a little more dedication to the customer and some customer service training for the employees this could be a better place to visit and have a meal?? We placed our order today at 6:15pm today, they had told us 35-45 minute wait. We called back at 45 mins, they advised is the delivery man was on the way. Our hotel was .5 miles away at the holiday inn suites. Ten mins later we called they stated that there delivery time is 45- 60 mins, we call back after an hour and 10 mins. They state the man was on his way and will not do anything about them being late unless he is 20 minutes away. However they were there an hour and 15 after the chicken was soggy and pizza was uncooked. And it was 30 mins LATE after the 45 min mark from when they stated they were going to arrived after our phone conversation at 6:15pm. Worst customer service, the food was horrible and I would never suggest this place. If you are looking for pizza go to Pizza Hut down the block, if you want chicken go to KFC down the road! read more

I have gotten into the habit of checking to see if there is a Pizza Ranch restaurant in the city where I am staying. I travel through ND SD WY Mt and MN. Was pleased to find one in Devils Lake. Stopped in at the Pizza Ranch on Thursday July 18, 2019 at about 7:15 PM. the place was not crowded at all and I paid and proceeded to the salad bar. It was skimpy looked sort of messy but I thought ok towards the end of the day so...When I selected seating at a booth by the window I could see that the place did not seem clean like other Pizza Ranches I had visited. The Salad was so so. Went to the Dinner Bar for chicken etc. It looked kind of unkept and messy. I selected one piece of chicken and mashed potatoes and corn. My appetite was slowly drifting from me. The food seemed cold and it appeared at that point I was the only there and it was still only 7:30 PM. I finished my dinner and then went to select a desert and cup of ice cream. The Ice cream seemed thin watery and seemed like it has frozen crystals in it. Didn't taste at all like the regular Pizza Ranch Ice Cream. I love it usually ! This restaurant doesn't seem to be of the quality of the other Pizza Ranch places I visit. There is room for a lot of improvement. read more

We stopped in late July 2014 to eat on our way through town for a tournament in Minot with a team of hungry boys. I went in to check and make sure there would be enough room for everyone and that it wouldnt be a problem to seat 10 people. I had to hunt for a manager and noticed that it was filthy and the floor was slippery in spots. There was pieces of half eaten pizza, a few pieces of crust, dirty napkins and other misc debris all over the floor. This wasnt the normal-this was DISGUSTING. Like noone had cleaned the floor for a couple of days. When the manager came out and saw me (and my disgust clearly) she asked what I needed (and was not very friendly in her tone). I told her that I had a group of hungry boys in the van and looking for a place to feed them but after seeing the condition it was in that we would go across the street instead. She rolled her eyes at me and very rudely said they didnt have room for that many anyway and walked away.
