They even took down all of our staff names and wrote them on the lid of their order so it was a breeze making sure everyone ended up with the food they ordered. The order was ready exactly when they said it would be and every meal with its modifications was perfect. Most recently we ordered two 12" (large) pizzas: one ham and pineapple and one pepperoni and bacon. The total (with delivery about 6.5km away) came to $29. Not super cheap, but not the worst. The pizza came piping hot. The ham was very good, but the crusts on both pizzas were overcooked and almost as hard as a rock. Both my partner and I found a few small black hairs cooked into the toppings, which doesn't really bother us, but may be a major turnoff for others (perhaps time to invest in a hair net). My partner would give it a solid 4/5 for the taste, and I would agree there, but I don't think the value quite warrants a 4/5 - so a 3/5 it is.

Beyond excited that there is a Chopped Leaf in my neighbourhood! Well, *almost* my neighbourhood…read more :). I live next door in Riverbend, and with my husband out of town this week, I am almost a little embarrassed how often I have been frequenting this restaurant lately. Its all young men that work there, and they are all so nice, helpful and willing to make suggestions as I am figuring out what direction to go when asked. And its always a challenge to decide because everything looks outstanding. Let me assure you, everything I have tried has also been outstanding. It has been a non-stop tasting tour of their menu this week. I started working the Whole Bowls first. My first one had a mexican flair with lots of veg, salsa, avocado, cheddar, cilantro, sour cream and salsa served on warm brown basmati rice. It was so flavorful, crunchy, delicious! And the warm rice was neat in the salad. I had chicken on there too. A nice healthy meal. The next time I was in, I moved to Bowl #2. I wanted the mexican one again but resisted the urge, so I could try more dishes. This one had lots of veg, cranberries, pecans and goddess sauce on a bit of brown rice with chicken. Again, another hit! I cant really tell you which one I preferred. They were both awesome! Date 3 with chopped leaf, I was hoping to try the Nutty Stuffed cup, but they sold out of them, so they made me a fresh nutty salad in a take out, and I also tried the veggie salad rolls (vegan). The Evil peanut sauce is amazing! That peanut sauce I want on EVERYTHING. So tangy! Date 4 (review night) I had the chopped subshine salad, chicken, rice and this was a suggestion by one of the owners. Sign me up! Lots of veg, avocado, apple and goddess sauce. What I failed to mention, is that I have also been eating their fresh, melt-in-your-mouth cookies. I snack on it while they prepare my salad. If I am eating salad, I can have a cookie, right??? Its a big bugger too, so likely its two cookies, posing as one. And, I take their fruit infused water instead of a soft drink. The fruits are always different. Today there were pieces of orange and limes, and I saw that they are brewing up some pineapple tomorrow. I am on a roll, so I am sure I'll be back at this pace. Chopped Leaf: welcome to the area. I am sure McDonald's stock may go down at the rate I am dining there. Hopefully my scale goes down too with all the healthy veggies.
