In a nutshell, Borgata feels like a brand new restaurant that happens to be 18+ months old, and that can't quite make up its mind what it is. It's almost a family restaurant (the tiny menu includes a kid's section). But wait, maybe it's an Italian restaurant? Or maybe a pizza place? Or a gathering place for locals (there's a full bar)? Meeting Bill Brown suddenly makes perfect sense of the restaurant that he's built. He's an icon. We had the same thing that he'd just had - a Texas BBQ. It was great. A little sweeter than I'd prefer, but tasty and generous. We split a whole sandwich, and he graciously served it on two plates (with a full portion of chips on each). The bad news is that, if you haven't met Bill, you've only got until the end of the month, when Browny's will become... something else! After 47 years, Bill's retiring and closing the sale on the place in just a few days.
