This place is right behind the Piñata Payaso on 10th off of Sylvester. Decent sized pizzeria, good food, decent prices, and they offer a giant monster sized pizza. They have maybe just one employee who speaks English though. Very nice to have a mom n pop pizzeria down the street from me. read more

Pizza king has very good pizza & the king size really is HUGE! But be careful with what you are really being charged when you pay! The last time we went we were overcharged on taxes & when we confronted the lady (one of the owners) she was showing us the prices for the items & adding tax to that, then she added tax again to the final total! The special ended up more than the individual items! We told her that was illegal because she already taxed the individual item (it was the SPECIAL) & she said we did not know what we were talking about & we didn't understand taxes. She ended up giving us our money back but then a family member said she did the same to him. Added tax to the individual ingredients (pepperoni) then taxed the pizza! Watch out! CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!! I recently came to this pizza parlor by accident while driving by. I personally never heard of "Pizza King" and I wanted to give their pizza a try. The location for this pizza place was so-so because the building is not noticeable unless your going down 10th N. Avenue. Also, parking can be a bit tight so I decided to walk to the pizza location (Avoiding the apartments/ ally). Eventually, I made my way into the building, which looked friendly but empty. This restaurant is kind of new so I believe that added to the atmosphere being empty with no customers. I am then greeted by the cashier, who was respectful which I thought was a good. When I looked at the menu I noticed they had a handful of Italian foods with the focus of Pizza being their main choice of service. Personally, I only came for the pizza which I was hoping it will be as great as it appears on the menu wall. I ordered a Pepperoni for 6.99, which is a dollar more then Little Ceasers. With a low cost pizza I thought " Ill just get a medium for the price ". While I waiting for my order I played some arcade games in the back of the restaurant which was a good addition to the building until the food was done. Now for the Pizza, as soon as received my order I was quite surprised on the taste of the pizza. The pizza that I ordered came out just great! it had more favor then most cheap pizza eateries for the value. the crust was soft and with flavor as well. In addition, I believe that this pizza was well done and tasted fresh. I ended up also ordering bread sticks as well, which were kind of pricey but they were still great for that price. Now this is from my first visit. the next time I decided to try delivery, but It was really hard to understand the person on the phone. I ended up just giving my order and he never asked where I wanted it delivered, so I went to pick it up. When I got their the pizza was done and was hot, which is great. The only downside is this time my crust was a little darker then usual but oh well. I would definitely consider this restaurant. The only downsides for me were delivery experience, the location, and the kind of dark crust on my second visit.
