Recently moved here, first time ordering. Sandwiches, Cheese bread and Pizzas. Stromboli lacks flavor. A terrible looking sandwich. Do not know what sauce they use, but pizza with everything also lacks flavor in the sauce department. Toppings weren't that great tasting either. Won't return. In town for business.. I worked at a Pizza King in High School and always loved their pizza, but especially the sandwiches. Ordered a 5 topping pizza and a Stromboli and let me just tell you, it was not worthy of the Pizza King name. The Stromboli was on soggy, not toasted bread, had ZERO cheese, zero onions, a sad excuse for meat, and hardly any sauce... I didn't think it would be possible after trying it, but the pizza was worse. Save your money and it is worth the drive to literally any other city to get your Pizza King fix. read more

This is the only time in 18 years of my kids being old enough to eat pizza family when the pizza either wasn't eaten during dinner or shortly after as left overs. In fact, the left overs were thrown out the next day (unheard of in our house). This is in no way similar to the famed Pizza King that is headquartered in Muncie, IN. The toppings were less than plentifully-applied, and let's just say the bathrooms were used by my family shortly after consumption. The Pizza King of my youth is no more. They've changed the crust and not for the better. It appears to be thicker. We always get ours with the crust well done. It was well done but it was still doughy. Toppings were sparse,too. I understand cutting corners to keep prices down but they've good a bit too far. read more

Not good. Pizza king in Anderson is way better. Pizza king is known for their breadsticks but these were not pizza king breadsticks. They're fat and plain. Cheese was cold. Pizza was not covered in lots of toppings like all other pizza kings do with their feast pizzas. Super disappointed in this pizza king. read more

My husband and I love Pizza King and had to visit while we were in state. When we walked in, an angry-looking blonde haired woman told the person on the phone to wait while she took our order. After we sat down (with no drinks), the person apparently called back because she answered the phone, "I told you to wait!" She ended her phone call and proceeded to angrily bang cooking utensils and equipment as she made our pizza. We were called to the counter to pick up our own drinks and called back again to get our breadsticks and pizza. The freezing cold cheese for the breadsticks came straight from the refrigerator. The pizza wasn't cut through the entire way so we asked for a knife or fork and were told no. Then she got another phone call and answered it with "What do you want?" When we left, we asked for a small container or cardboard to take our leftovers with us and she said she couldn't give it to us because each cardboard belongs to its dough. Pretty sure there was an entire stack of greasy cardboard circles sitting on the counter. We won't be back and encourage you not to go. They have a sign saying they've been in business for 58 years. First time eating here. Was not impressed. Nothing special about the pizza. I've bought frozen pizza that was better than this.

So let me start by saying I love Pizza King pizza. It is the best pizza ever, anywhere, without question. But this location has never impressed me and it didn't impress me again the last time we went a few weeks ago. The cashier/cook/waitress couldn't be bothered to speak to me when I went in to pick up an order. Just threw our order on the counter, punched it into the cash register and then looked at me. Come on, how about a Hi or Good Afternoon or even That'll be 15 dollars. Nope, just expected me to read the cash register and avoid speaking. Besides that, this location just doesn't look that clean or well taken care of. I am rating it a two based on the store itself and the service - lol - that we received while there. However, I do have to say that regardless of the service or store condition, the pizza is just amazing - as always. I would just recommend a different Pizza King store. read more

Undoubtedly the worse pizza I ever had. The crust was like a cracker and the sausage topping was dry and tasteless. I usually like the pizzas at Pizza King but this one was horrible. The inside of the place was dark and dingy. I asked if they could turn on a few lights and was completely ignored. When I did not leave a tip the server gave me a dirty look. Pizza king is an early Indiana taste that has been branched out and franchised to different locations, all of which use different ingredients. This location of pizza king is unfortunately not as good as the others. In my opinion, it would be worth the 15 minute drive from Marion's pizza king to Gas City's Pizza King. read more

Worst Pizza King I've ever patronized. Literally 1/4 cup of pepperoni per large pizza. Other Pizza King locations give you that much per slice. Same with all the toppings: stingy! Not what you want in a pizza place. When asked about stinginess, they simply tell you "that's all you get". I also witnessed them burn two pizzas while I waited the 45 minutes for my pizza. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a Pizza King in my life. Stopped in for a quick bite for lunch and the girl who was cashier/cook made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience for her. I asked if she had a type of pizza common at every other pizza kings and got a flat no, and it couldn't be done. After ordering when my breadsticks came up she just says across the room that "your breadsticks are ready" and throws them on the counter for me to come get, I don't mind coming up to get them but the tone and attitude she had just was very off putting. Same thing when the pizza was ready, on top of all that it was the worst pizza I've had from a pizza king in years. I then had to ask for a paper plate to eat from, again seemed to really bother her, didn't even want to ask for a napkin or parmesan cheese or peppers. My husband and I stopped for pizza quick before going to celebrate my daughters birthday! Her first bite of pizza had a hair in it! They offered to make another one or refund our money. I said we dont have time to wait for another one. I gave her the piece with the hair stuck inside and she then said, well I cant refund unless we have the whole thing for proof! I gave her the piece! Worst pizza we have ever had. We ordered the deluxe and there was an extremely small smattering of some meats on it which you could not taste because there were so much peppers and onions that overpowered it. Nasty. Crust, sauce and cheese, what very little of it was there, had no flavor whatsoever. Breadsticks were hard with no butter or anything on them which gave them no flavor. Cheese for breadsticks was a very small portion which turned out to be a good thing because it was watered down and flavorless. They offer "eat in" which we did, but we had to ask for plates and napkins which the staff reluctantly gave to us. We asked for forks and we were told they did not have any. I don't understand how this place got so many negative reviews. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember and they've never disappointed. pizza is done in under 10 minutes every time. I don't think this location gets a lot of dine-in customers. it's not really a dine-in place considering there are very few tables and not a lot of space. most of the customers order carry out. I think the locals understand that. people who come out of town are expecting to be waited on. it's just not that kind of restaurant. in fact I've never been to a pizza king, in any city, that had waiters. a lot of restaurants have you come to the counter to get your food, I don't understand why that was reviewed negatively. especially since the counter is a couple feet from the tables. come on, people it's not that hard to turn around and grab your pizza. the subs are to die for, the pizza is the best in town. I've never had an off experience. the interior is actually pretty neat. they've got a vintage pac man game to play while waiting for your pizza. I've only ever gotten to play a couple rounds though, since they manage to cook it so fast. the whole place just gives me an 80/90s vibe. really cool stained glass hanging lamps, red leather seats. cool that you can watch your food being prepared and cooked in the brick oven. whoever said it was dark and dingy has obviously never been to an outback, where you literally cannot even see what you're eating. also the only restaurant in town that still sells red cream soda. please never get rid of this!! read more
