It was the only thing in the world I wanted…read more I looked for places near me to get one, because I didn't wanna make it myself and this restaurant popped up. I have thought about trying it for sometime, and Sunday was the day. I got my person off of his computer game and we drove down to a decently busy drive through, so we decided to go inside as we wanted to review the menu anyways. The restaurant was clean and cute, almost set up like a little diner. THIS PLACE HAS EVERYTHING. or at least every fast food type item I wanted to see on the menu. We ordered chicken strip basket, a jalapeño burger, a chocolate shake and fried zucchini. There was at least 40 other things on the menu that I wanted to order, but figured this was a solid order for our first time. There was a little confusion with the cashier over the jalapeño burger, but I refuse to dock stars for a cashier who looked like they were still in training. The important part of the mix up, was the chef came out to clarify exactly what we wanted, so it was never really a problem to begin with. That chocolate shake has been living in my head rent free ever since, because it was perfect. The jalapeño burger (we ended up with 3 patties instead of two, per the menu confusion) basically brought tears to my partners eyes because it was so perfect. And they actually season their fries!!! I would give 6 stars if I could. Don't sleep on this gem. Whether you would call it a drive in or just fast food it is AWESOME.

We stopped in later in the evening for dinner and got the mushroom cheeseburger combo ($12.99), the Pastrami Cheeseburger combo ($14.99), cheese curds ($5.99) and fried okra ($5.99). They gave us our drinks right away and they have the nice crushed ice that's like tiny pebbles. It's always a treat when a spot has this ice because it's tiny and crunchy and not offered a lot. The food didn't take too long and came out on a tray for our dine in experience. There are plenty of booths here and during our visit there were a lot of other people enjoying meals in small groups and couples. The food was hot and fresh and the fries were nicely cooked crinkle cut fries. The fried okra as good, but needed a bit more seasoning or sauce to dip (we had ranch). The cheese curds were great, hot and the cheese was perfectly melty. My husband got the mushroom cheeseburger with just mushrooms, cheese, pickles and added bacon. He said it was a good burger and satisfied his craving, but isn't something he'd specifically seek out. I got the pastrami burger with everything on it and thought it was delicious, but the pastrami was a bit overcooked and dried out so the texture was a bit hard to bite through with the burger and I found myself eating the pastrami separately from the burger. There's plenty of parking here and they have a drive through. I heard the milkshakes are great, so if we stop by again we'll try one.

Upon arrival, I noticed that the drive-thru was fairly short compared to how long lines normally are. The service was pleasant and the pace of the line moved in a swift manner. It took less than 15 minutes to get my order (normally a 30+ minute wait), which was a huge plus. I decided to order the 4x4 cheeseburger protein style (lettuce wrapped/no bread) with extra grilled onions and one side of freshly made French fries. The execution of the food was beyond delicious, as the quality was totally top-notch. The burger was especially enjoyed with several packets of In-N-Out Burger's special spread sauce while the fries were complemented with salt and ketchup. Overall, this location was very nice. I will return whenever I'm in the area.

The location is spacious, and the ordering process was quick and easy. Our food came out fresh, which is always a plus! Definitely a solid spot for a late-night bite when you're craving something delicious!

Today was my 1st time trying Dave's Hot Chicken and I liked it!…read moreI used the Drive-thru; the menu is straightforward and it was nice not to have a million choices over which to debate. I chose the X-Men meal, which came with a chicken slider, crinkle-cut fries, pickle slices, a side of Dave's sauce and an X-Men figurine. I love the crispiness and flavor of the chicken but will probably order tenders or nuggets in the future since I felt the buns and greens overpowered the chicken a bit. The fries were hot and crispy and Dave's ranch complemented them nicely. I ordered the slider with no spice so cannot comment on the how the heat level was. I also ordered a chocolate shake. That hit the spot and I liked the thick consistency. The service was great. Maria could tell it was my 1st time there and guided me in the right direction when it came to choosing sauces and sides. I like the decorative exterior paint and the logo. The only thing I'd change is the price-the kids meal and shake cost over $21 including tax. I'll return to try the tenders. Thanks!

Got my order 12 piece chicken strip meal with two large red beans and rice, one small mac & cheese, two strawberry biscuits, and two drinks and an apple pie. I was driving down the street noticed I only had one red bean and rice and my strawberry biscuits were burnt I turned around, went back and parked, went in the store, the girl who helped me the second time couldn't speak English only Spanish I had to explain to her three or four times what was wrong the manager was nowhere in sight. Finally, the manager came over and asked me what was wrong. I told her to speak to her worker the worker couldn't even talk so I told her I am I will explain to her what's going on so I told her and she got the order ready for me. They gave me an extra apple pie for my troubles read in my biscuits, and they were hot and good biscuits because they were black before And gave me my my red beans and rice. I was on my way. The only reason this location is getting three stars is because the girl at the first drive up window was the nicest, and she didn't prepare the food. She just took orders and did drinks and the manager stepped in. I had been there about 10 minutes already trying to explain it to the girl who didn't speak English before the manager stepped in, so that is why it's getting three stars for the girl at the driver window. If she wouldn't have been there, this location would've got one star. Ty he chicken strips were chewy and old. Not made freshly.

The other day he went to El Balcon to grab a shredded chicken burrito for lunch. After a number of bites he bit into a spot that he said tasted like tuna and immediately made him feel sick, and as he was noticing that he realized there was a curved shard of metal in his mouth. We were thinking because of the sudden tuna taste maybe it was part of a tuna can lid that somehow wound up in the shredded chicken container? How? How does that go unnoticed during the making of the burrito? If someone swallowed that it would cause pretty significant internal damage. He brought it to their attention and apparently they just offered him another burrito...um, no thanks. I would've at least asked for my money back but he's a better man than I and just let it go. I get that it's just a fluke and not all the food is gonna have metal in it, but it's more what it says about their quality control, and if it happened once I'm not willing to go back to see if it happens again.
