I made my second visit last weekend and a few things have changed - most notably my developing a gluten allergy. PM has an extensive GF menu and can make just about any pizza gluten free. My partner (also celiac) and I were disappointed with the GF based on our different pizzas. The sharp knives we were given would not cut through the bases - which were thin. We gave the feedback to the chef via our waitress, and hopefully this will be enough. My partner and I have had many GF pizzas over the years, but this base was the worst. Other than that, the experience on the whole was excellent - the pizza topping was really good, along with the accompanying tomato salad. We had GF sticky toffee pudding to finish and it was amazing. Couple bottles of excellent wine and good service completed the meal.

Yes was the answer and arrived there on the stroke of 12, it was empty and we occupied a window table in order to entice others inside and it seemed to work as 2 other couples took their place for some Sicilian fayre. Like most places you go to in the cold light of day it's never quite the same and Etna is no exception as we noticed the table cloth was still donning some pasata from the previous nights explioits but that's life and the owner was off on his jollies for a month of heaven in sicily whilst his establishment got the makeover treatment paintwise. Onto the food, Plain garlic bread was acceptable but i'd be lying if I said I hadn't had better as it was on the dry side and not enough garlic on view, The pizza order was much more agreeable and my wifes Etna was a revelation in both appearance and taste, My children had the Pescatora and this too was truly excellent. I myself rolled back the years and went for the classic Calzoni folded pizza but in reality I should have followed my childrens lead and gone for my usual seafood but it's a learning curve! With the rest of the family off to a work related Christmas do, I found myself alone with numerous option for tea. Since I wasn't feeling it for the local chippy any more, I settled my craving for chicken. I did not let the threat of slipping on the icy pavements and cracking my head open deter me from my goal, with it being a rather short distance from my home. Stepping inside, I was immediately greeted by the cashier. She was polite, patiently talking me through what sauce and seasoning for the fries I would like. I decided on the six chicken tenders combo meal, which comes with fries and a can. I went for their original peri peri sauce for my tenders and peri salt for the fries, also opting for a regular side of onion rings for the hell of it. My wait time wasn't that long, probably five or seven minutes, I wasn't paying much attention. I bring my food straight home and unpack to get a good look. A rather good potion of fries along with the tenders: four good sized strips of chicken in a crispy coating, other two were tiny. Not that I minded because it was still a big amount of meat for me. Everything tasted amazing. The only thing I wasn't enjoying too well was the onion rings. They were cheap ones, but to be honest, it's been a while since I was last impressed by onion rings so i'll let that slide. The bill, was a tiny bit on the pricey side. But compared to KFC, it does seem to be more value for money. Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed what I got and will most likely visit this place again.
