New location on the North side of Fredericton, had to give it a try. Most importantly, the food. We…read moregot a combo that was 12" works pizza, 9" garlic finger, and 12 chicken wings. I wouldn't normally get wings from a pizza place, but sure why not give it a shot. They were ok, would stand with most breaded baked wings, I'm guessing they're not local made but rather frozen item heated up? The garlic fingers were also ok. There's not much to garlic fingers so if you're skimpy on the cheese as these were then you're not going to get rave reviews for that. Need some improvement there. The pizza was great though. Thinner crust and real pieces of bacon, was pleased with the pie. Service was A+, the girl at the counter was extremely helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. Location is a bit odd, visually outside not really appealing in the dated strip building shared with a plumbing company. Inside the kitchen is open and is very tidy, clean, and organized looking (appealing!). Assuming dine-in isn't their key business I wouldn't expect much, but it's pretty tiny and seems like an after thought. I would think just a tiny design effort could make it a more appealing place to be or eat. I'll definitely give this place another visit at some point.

Considering that it was almost their closing time, they were still EXTREMELY accommodating which I'm very grateful for. Super friendly people with smiles across their faces! The waitress also came to check on us many times to ensure everything was okay and if we had any questions. She pointed out that the serving size of each dish would be pretty big- which was a nice to know! The restaurant itself was very big with lots of comfortable seating- also very clean! But... sadly.. I go to restaurants for the quality of the food and I must say, the food was not great. Before heading into the restaurant, we didn't know what to expect with the restaurant being named "Diplomat". We thought it would be a western cuisine. But boy do we love a good surprise. After we got seated and took a glimpse of the menu, it was indeed a Chinese-Canadian style restaurant. LOL. I will give some grace as ik that these types of restaurants will not be authentic by any means as it caters towards the western/Canadian flavours. The brown noodles were flavourless (even when mixed and paired with the sweet and sour chicken). The Singaporean noodles had a bit more flavour but no kick to it (usually has a hint of spice). And the chicken was mainly sweet, not sour...

The two chicken pieces I got were fine but I wish it would have had a bit more pasta, also the pasta could have used some more cheese and a bit more salt. But that may just be me being picky. The waitress who served me was lovely and I want to compliment her! I didn't do dine in, only take out so I can only briefly comment on the environment but it seemed like a typical pub restaurant, I did notice the seating area had these dividers that seemed kind of jarring. I don't know if that's a leftover from COVID or what. Not a major deal, but hey you asked. :D

I watched the pasta dish being made to order through the glass. The grilled chicken pasta was hot and tasty and the Greek salad with feta was fresh.
