The pasta was advertised for one, but there was plenty to take away. During our meal the owners wife Tanya introduced herself and sat with us for a lovely conversation about, well everything. Jonny and il professore put on a great night (with plenty of good food, to boot). Highly recommended! Update: Jonny has taken over running The Swan in Woolpit, near Bury St Edmunds. A great shame, since The Shiplaunch was becoming a really great bistro pub. Will look into a few of us hiring a sharabang to go to Woolpit for the quiz later in the year. Will be interesting to see if the new proprietor of The Shiplaunch is able to maintain the high levels that Jonny and crew set. Update, June 2008: Met the new owner this week. He is just getting the catering facilities up and running and is also looking into carrying on the activities that Jonny so successfully started (incl. quiz nights and live music). Definitely child friendly with colouring and activity books and a good childrens menu - certainly my daughter's choice for pizza. Staff have always been friendly and helpful and having visited several times over the last year we will soon go back again. A real bonus is Pizza Express take Tesco vouchers which offsets the prices, which are on the high side - and is the reason this doesn't get 5 stars.
