Now he did have a bit of help and they were amazing as well! A+ on the service! He took all of the orders by himself, and guess what folks, everything was correct! No problems, no issues! The restaurant was very nice in size and set up really well. There was plenty of space as well so we did not feel cramped. The food, great as well! I started out with an order of olives and a cocktail (Hard Lemonade). For my entree, I ordered a pepperoni pizza with roasted peppers and mushrooms. It was sooooo good. I could go for another now! Ha! I asked a few of my of my family members their thoughts and they enjoyed their meals as well. Now for the location. There are a few other restaurants in the center as well as a movie theatre. The parking, hmmm, a lot of it, but at a time when there are a lot of people out, it can be a little hard to find a space. All in all I definitely would go again!

I know it is part of a chain (and some people can get a bit sniffy about that) but everytim we have been there the service has been very good and extremely prompt. We haven't had to book (perhaps because we tend to end up eating there around 8.30pm-9pm). The prices are reasonable and the food is pretty good. I particularly like the Stromboli pizza (being a bit of a carnivore!)

Yes they were, and especially with garlic sauce Uhhh Yum! My husband ordered the prosciutto pizza. Our food came very quickly and it was hot. My favorite way to have food served to me. Our server was wonderful and attentive cannot remember how to spell her name but she is from Romania. The pizza was ample size, and with lots of cheese. The pasta was advertised for one, but there was plenty to take away. During our meal the owners wife Tanya introduced herself and sat with us for a lovely conversation about, well everything. So pleasant and engaging. If we were not just visiting I would come again next and try the risotto. Prices are very reasonable. Cheers from Ipswich and this family owned and friendly establishment.

The summer menu is a great way to try new things as they usually run promotions over their news dishes. There's not much choice if you are veggie but what I'd tried has always been of a high standard. The green vegetable risotto was a dish that springs to mind. The portion was a bit small but filled me up perfectly well, I guess it's a good sign that the flavours encouraged you to want a spoon full more.

Sadly, there are no barbecue pizzas on the menu, and when I received my pizza and requested some barbecue i was notified that they do not have any. The restaurant itself is much bigger than it looks and the staff here were very welcoming and friendly. Top tips: 1) Visit at night time. Jonny and il professore put on a great night (with plenty of good food, to boot). Highly recommended! Update: Jonny has taken over running The Swan in Woolpit, near Bury St Edmunds. A great shame, since The Shiplaunch was becoming a really great bistro pub. Will look into a few of us hiring a sharabang to go to Woolpit for the quiz later in the year. Will be interesting to see if the new proprietor of The Shiplaunch is able to maintain the high levels that Jonny and crew set. Update, June 2008: Met the new owner this week. He is just getting the catering facilities up and running and is also looking into carrying on the activities that Jonny so successfully started (incl. quiz nights and live music).
