In America, this might be a simple little hole in the wall shop, but in typical French fashion, it is a small shop dressed up with chairs and glass and table cloths and a simple but effective color pattern that invites you to "sit down and have a drink with us." Under any other circumstances, I probably would have instead I was just roaming the blocks near the place I was staying looking for anything besides a kabob shop or the boulangerie/patisserie we stopped in earlier that morning which my friends wanted to return to (I hate going to the same places during the same trip).
I came across this place realizing that I had never had pizza in Paris and decided to order the Royale. First, I have to say it was a really good price for the portion, so I was skeptical on the flavor. But after blowing off and finally biting into that first hot slice while standing on a street corner, I came to the consensus that it was pretty good pizza. The toppings were a range of everything from sausage to olives to onions and bacon etc. It was very fresh and pretty tasty. The wait wasn't too long. I had time to run back up the block and tell my friends where I was and then head back down. It was done in about 10 minutes. I'd stop back in at night when I'm in the area for a quick bite, and a bit to save for later. read more
