Her reaction was "OMG my husband swears by the place, they all love it". This actually reminds me of friends from Taylor/ Wilks-Barre PA that swear by the greatness of Old Forge Pizza. Let me be clear, this pizza is glorified ELLIO's frozen pizza. While visiting Johnson City i was told by acquaintances, I must have the pizza at Brozzetti's. "It's Life Changing". This is tasteless generic pizza. I could have chewed on the cardboard box with some sauce and not noticed the difference. I would travel to New Haven, Brooklyn, Chicago, even Phoenix (which i hear has excellent pizza), and I appreciate different styles like Detroit style pizza, But I'm glad I didn't make the trip to Johnson City purposely for Brozzetti's. I can't believe I am saying this, go down the street to Dominos if you need pizza.

Picked up order got home and the pizza was half pepperoni and not crispy or brown crust and the wings under fried, not crispy skin on the " flat" wings just soft skin . Now I forgive the wrong pizza meat as maybe I just got someone else's order but the only thing that was good with the entire order was that the amount of cheese they use is ample which most places are just short. If you order extra cheese you're chewing on rubber bands. It seems no one ever gets that right .. they're all being cheap and skimpy. The sauce on this pizza was bitter, like eating paste, not thinned a little bit & it was horrible and the crust chewy and soft. Pizza is my life long love. I've had pizza my entire life from living downstate, MD, VA and here. This ranks high on the bad ones. Reading the reviews I was somewhat hopeful but then again, seeing reviews from here is a crap shoot as so many praise places I think are inferior and wouldn't eat there. Some seem to get praised more for length of time in business rather than on food taste, quality etc. So for my family I'm sad to say Pizza on the Plaza is a bust!

The place was very clean and the greeting staff were nice. The service at the table was phenomenal. Our waitress was on point and we never had to ask for anything. She didn't write our drink orders down and everything came out perfect (and fast especially for bar drinks). The food was delicious. The French onion soup is in my top 3 all time. My Delmonico was cooked to perfection. It could of used a little more seasoning but I could add it so that wasn't an issue. My wife got the homemade Gnocchi which she said was spectacular. She added on shrimp for 13 dollars which is pretty standard at a nice restaurant. My son got a pizza just to try and we all loved it. The fries were good! The chicken wings were crispy and had a lot of sauce too. Very good combo. Overall it cost us around 250 bucks (tip included), but that was for 6 of us and with bar drinks. Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

Crust is tasty and crisp and the cheese/ sauce combination is above par. There's been an obvious shift of help in the restaurant lately and it shows in the dining experience. I understand new hires have a break-in period. The lack of consistent service has gone on too long though. At our last visit we witnessed a very busy night with multiple carry out and dine in order errors. It would behove the pizzeria to shut down for a week and intensively train their staff as there is just too much competition nearby to not be at your best. Personally, one of my irks is that orders come out staggered so that a table of two or more patrons receive their dishes at different times. This is awkward and a huge restaurant no no. Nobody likes to watch someone else eat while their stomach growls nor does someone like to chew while others at the table try to avoid staring. Hoping you clean up soon as we would like to continue being frequent flyers!!

I was shocked at the 45 minute wait time for some chicken wings but, I saw how busy they were when I go there. I loved the atmosphere when I walked in. It was busy at the bar and restaurant but no one was waiting for a seat. That's a great sign. Immediately, I was asked if I had an order. I told the gentleman I could wait but he went back and put a rush on the wings. Within 10 minutes I had the wings, and an apology for how long it took. Although, it was well before my 45 minute pick up time. The parking lot is a bit cramped but there's not much room to expand. Besides, they have been there since I was a kid. The wings were so good. They came with blue cheese, celery, and carrots. Overall, this place is well above 5 stars. I can't wait to dine in and visit the bar side. Great service and I hope they stay open for another 40+ years.
