Vanessa is amazing... she is a community-minded woman who walks the walk and talks the talk. And GIVES so much back!!! As a family-friendly space, PiYoDa Flow aims to provide non-competitive dance and fitness training centered around culture, community, and wellness. As soon I walked through the door last night, an amazing calmness came over me. Tonight's SOUNDBATH by @sacredsoundsbydevon was incredible... she rocks those "bowls" like I have ever heard and felt the sounds throughout my entire body, mind and spirit ...( and I have been to many others, so I speak from experience) ;) What a wonderful gift she is to this world!!! The Open House Family hosts most of their workshops and sessions here, so I had to check out the space. AMBIANCE: Crenshaw area is a grit and grind area. Nothing flashy here but plenty of eateries in the area both corporate and small businesses. The studio itself is relatively nice. I can see maybe 30 - 40 people fitting here but it really depends on the event. I like the different DJs they featured and the sound and lights were vibing. The wood floors are nice and I enjoy the decor plant decors here and there. Parking - It's in a plaza that can maybe fit 10 cars, some spots vary with time limits or they're already reserved for other businesses in the plaza. There's also street parking as well. Customer Service - Vanessa was great, very welcoming! My house dance instructor was Andrea and she was passionate and helpful. Great stuff! TL;DR OVERALL 5 Stars. Lovely! A good amount of space with a great range of events and at reasonable prices. Cheers to Vanessa and her team for creating this great space. My child takes ballet on Tuesdays with Ms. Ysaye! She loves coming to class and I have noticed a difference in her confidence and her listening skills. Ysaye is patient, kind and you can tell she cares about her students! They had the cutest winter performance and I really appreciate how much time and effort she and Vanessa (the owner) put into caring for and developing the kids. read more

We rented the studio for a third birthday party and it was perfect! The kids had the best time and loved the mirror and the lights. Everything was easy to use like the sound system and the AC. Having the tables and chairs included was so helpful too. Vanessa was really helpful over email and in person too. She met us to let us in and also locked up for us. Our guests found the parking lot a little stressful but there was plenty of neighbourhood parking. read more

Yes, all the way all the time. Definitely yes yes yes. This is a city yoga place, meaning that you can hear the city while you're doing your yoga practice. There is no lobby that separates where you do yoga from the parking lot and the street. They let people in late and you do hear them coming in and setting up, but it's all part of living in a city and being patient with people with exactly where they are, and just happy that they were able to come to yoga. This class was full of nothing but women. Yasss Queens!! Women of all shapes and sizes and of all ages. I immediately felt enveloped in a very loving and supportive community. I took an evening yoga class that was very restful and restorative. I loved the music and I would definitely go again. Bonus is that this yoga studio is owned by a Black woman! They also offer dance classes for kids and house dance classes for adults. They got a lot going on here and I'm so happy that they have open shop so close to my house. read more

This review is for summer camp and kids hip hop. Kids hip hop- My kids have been going to hip hop classes with Vanessa for about a year. They enjoy the classes, friendly environment and awesome routines. They have also made friends and participated in their dance recital. Vanessa is an amazing instructor and teacher. She is patient and treats kids of all ages with kindness and attention. Summer Camp- my two kids attended their week camp. We're taught about different dances, yoga and gardening. They took daily walks to her garden were they painted and planted pots. The kids loved their week long camp with Vanessa and can't wait for the next one! I highly recommend Piyoda's youth programming! read more

What an amazing to have to such a nice dance & yoga studio near my neighborhood! They have different styles of dances with great teachers. I took few different classes so far. It's always fun to learn a new styles that I had never tried before. They have unique classes so definitely worth checking it out. The parking is pretty easy and convenient near the exit of 10 Freeway. Every Thursday night is what they call "Open House" It's just $5 and open to everyone who like to shares great energy and enjoy music and dance with a DJ. I love the vibe here! read more

A neighborhood dance studio with exceptional teachers and awesome programming! My daughter did kids summer dance camp and had such a wonderful time that we plan to drive across town to continue with kids hip-hop dance classes. PIYODA FLOW is a wonderful new space, conveniently located just south of the 10 freeway on Crenshaw. Recommended by friends, I have been taking a regular mix of Pilates and Yoga classes. Super clean, not too big, not too small, with plants along the wall. I love the way the sun floods in through the big windows in the mornings. As a veteran of amped-up, competitive, costly, and crowded Westside classes, it is soooooo nice to watch this space growing into a community hub. The Pilates and Yoga classes are gentle-yet-powerful. They have helped strengthen my core and make me more aligned and flexible. Vanessa Neva is an excellent teacher. Experienced and positive, she creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere for one and all. It's a beautiful gathering space with positive vibes and an inclusive, community based ethos. Vanessa is a welcoming host with deep roots in the Los Angeles dance scene.
