Bea is courteous, helpful, and has one of the most friendly and welcoming voices I've ever heard. She explained everything carefully, helped me get the forms I needed, made sure everything was filled out correctly, and just stayed on top of things expertly. My PT is Michele. This is the first time I have been able to get PT in my life. Michele explains things, she challenges me but she is friendly and really supportive. And she knows her stuff. My back was so bad I couldn't walk more than a few steps without pain. But doing the exercises as Michele taught me, and pushing myself a little more every visit, I am noticing improvements every week. I am definitely stronger and I am a lot more hopeful. Thank you Bea and Michele.

He wrecked his truck in January and started coming here in April. His PT sessions have been great! I see so much more progress up here than with the old PT sessions. Dr. Chandler and Dr. K are AWESOME. They are super easy to talk to and funny. They make you relax. They talk to us as fellow humans not down to us like worthless people. 100% recommend here. We drive 2 hours one way for his visits. 3 times a week.

Dr. Jacob Ross is beyond attentive to detail, focused on diagnosing, and actually explains what he's doing rather than just doing. I've done the whole go to a chiropractor who nods, smiles, say this is will be the best thing ever, cracks my back a bunch, hooks me up to a machine, and asks me to come back tomorrow. It's kind of a joke. And turned me off to chiropractors for a while. But given I have a job where I do incredibly amounts of repetitive lifting, I had really needed the help and lucked out coming across Dr. Ross. He spent a lot of time just getting a better understanding of my own situation and pains. Not just that, but also my scheduling needs (can't exactly drop everything to go to a chiropractor every day!). He figured out a solution to not just treat, but actually cure my problems AND work around my hectic scheduling needs. As for the location, it's well located off Rt 2 (close to the Newark Farmers market), so it's an easy place to stop off while getting other errands done. Very well located from Newark, Wilmington, Pike Creek areas. The actual office is super clean, comfortable, modern, and all around a friendly atmosphere. Anyone feeling apprehensive about their first chiropractic appointment would be really well suited to go here because they'll be super gentle and attentive to your needs. Here's their website: http://www.gethealthychiropractic.com/ But really, they're great at just scheduling an appointment and caring about face to face so calling is probably the smartest thing to do. Staff who are not physical therapists and oversee routine exercises are supervised by the PTs. During my treatment I was seen by multiple PTs, depending on schedule. They were all flexible, ready to drop treatments that weren't working and try new ones. They all communicated thoroughly with each other, and I learned something a bit different from each PT, so I felt I was treated by a team and that this gave me superior service. The director yawned out loud during my session with him, that was professional. Although I was there an hour, 45-50 minutes I worked on my own, the PT only worked with me about 10 minutes. As I was working with PT for 10 minutes they were talking across the room to others instead of focusing on me. Most PT did not seem to be familiar with my injury, so they obviously didn't read my file or ask me directly. They did not send the reports they told me they would be sending to my Orthopaedic surgeon until I questioned them, they lied said they were sent but when I called surgeon's office the only report they had was from the day I questioned them. Although the bathrooms seemed pretty clean the rest of the facility did not, there was an outlet without a face plate right out in the open. Thank god insurance adjusted what they got paid because their $300 plus per visit is not worth it. I even gave them a very poor review and they didn't care enough to call me and discuss the issues, you would think they would want to improve, obviously not.

As a very active 62-year-old who loves yoga, I was experiencing achiness in my upper arms that was really affecting my practice. I had been to other chiropractors, but their adjustments alone weren't solving the problem. I even started worrying that I might have an autoimmune disease or something serious. Then I went to Dr. Philip Brown, and everything changed. Not only did he give me a fantastic adjustment, but he also took the time to explain that I needed to add arm exercises with 3 lbs. weights to strengthen the muscles around my rotator cuff. He patiently explained how certain muscles were overworking to compensate for the weaker ones and how I could address this imbalance. I followed his advice and incorporated the exercises into my weekly routine, and it worked wonders! My achiness is gone, and I'm back to enjoying my yoga practice without any discomfort. Dr. Philip Brown is an amazing doctor, and I highly recommend him to anyone in need of chiropractic care. Thank you, Dr. Brown!

I had an outstanding experience with this clinic…read more I came here for a strange injury in my tendons that was hard to diagnose. I initially went in when it was preventing me from walking or standing for long periods of time, and causing me serious psychological distress. The clinicians here were extremely supportive. They diagnosed the problem, which was tricky to detect because of its atypical nature, within two visits, and put me on a slow but thorough regime of recovery that resulted in me walking within days, and in the end addressed the root causes of the injury and left me considerably stronger and less likely to experience similar injuries in the future. No medication, no surgery and I was back to my normal activity level in a few months. This place exemplifies what I think of as an ideal approach to healthcare. The clinicians are generous with their time, friendly and personable, caring, and funny. Rather than looking for a quick fix, the physical therapists here search for the root causes for things and work on taking the best long-term approach.

So there did not seem to be much consistency. The physical therapy was post-surgery and I had to explain my surgery to the therapists who did not seem to know anything about it. One therapist kept putting me through a particularly painful range of motion measurement, in order to show the trainees how it was done. I asked him not to do it again and he said that he would not do it again that day. Two minutes later he did it again to show someone else. Ugh! As a result of one therapy session I developed a huge and very painful knot that was not there before. By the end of the 7 weeks the painful knot was still there. I overheard one therapist instructing a trainee and telling her that the course of treatment that you prescribe does not matter, what matters is that you are confident and that the patient trusts you. Really? At the end of 7 weeks they said that they thought that I was finished and should not come back again, even though I still had limited mobility and my insurance was still paying for the therapy sessions. At that point, I was still hoping for better results. I had gone to other PT's before this one with good results. I will not go back to the UD if I can help it.
