This was a great find, recommended by our hotel staff. Great ambiance, very interesting decorations on the wall, perfectly matching restaurant's theme. We took a tasting menu which consisted of appetizer, entree and a dessert. Red Deer Tartar was delicious, with a touch of gamey flavor. Wild Boar Fillet was also excellent, very tasty, with perfectly matching chimichurri, roasted potatoes and smokey corn. Rhubarb with raspberry sorbet was a very nice finish for the meal. Excellent service, prompt, friendly, attentive. Definitely recommended. read more

Tonight the Sausage family dines in Gothenburg, Sweden. We eagerly await delectable delights that might enter our mouths and travel forth to our bellies where a myriad of juices and enzymes await their rendition of the chewed up meal. Listen up reader: to this point, the Sausage family is at its wits' end. Consider this: missed baggage, missed walking tours, rerouted planes, canceled flights, unbridled pandemonium, etc. How could a Sausage family hope to survive? Game Meats, that's how. And so we ventured to Pivo, a recommended night spot in the world's most upcoming food city. Walking into the restaurant was like playing the fiddle with a horse hair harpsichord. The first thing Beaky noticed in the restaurant were the coat racks. Plentiful, of various forms, and the finest metals. To speak highly of them would be describing how they hold our coats up with ease - appearing as if it were trivial to hold our coats, like one holds air. Samuel Sausage enjoyed the elk. He first remarks with a gesture: a thumbs up. Upon further consideration he offers, "Extraordinarilary excellent elk. Made me want to eat more elk." Maria sausage thoughtfully considers her elk entree. "a little lemon-y. Nice and light. Wild caught. Frankly fabulous fish. Wow. The duck was tasty." Beaky Sausage, the love of my life, ponders on the duck and dining experience with a mind as unto an AI or a most advanced machine learning algorithms. She says, "a little skimpy on the starter portion. The meat was very tasty. Damn delicious duck." Danny Sausage knows flavors unlike any other. As such he readily shared about the trout, " I thought it was super. The way they blended the flavor of the lobster with the blackened trougt - it creates a compote of an experience. Then you get an apple crisp... not quite crisp or chewy, and then you add the compote AGAIN??" I felt satisfied with my experience, but not as satisfied as I was with the company of the sausage family, which is hard to beat. This is not to say the food is bad; it is just not at the same level as abstractions of close family or friendships. Is your mind sufficiently blown, reader? If not... Well we recommend nothing other than a visit to the restaurant! Should you look for a mind blowing experience, you will find nothing more rewarding. Thank you, Piboo! read more
