Ok, so this is the "liberal" paper of Pittsburgh, eh?…read more Well you do have Tony Norman, who's a progressive and a comics fan, which is pretty cool by me even though he's also a bit of an Obamabot. Vote 3rd party and get back to me, ok Tony? Then there's Rob Rogers, one of the most incisive political cartoonists on the scene. Maureen Dowd is a mildly liberal bore. Reg Henry is milquetoast. Ruth Ann Daily is the daughter of Phyllis Schafly, Ann Coulter-lite, or an aspiring Stepford Wife. I can't figure her out. George Will. Ugh. Scott Mervis doesn't get the metal, but at least he's not Ed Masley who should be strapped to a pentagram and set ablaze for his clueless (fear-ridden?) derision of the music. Allison Romero has written a few good metal articles though, so maybe someone read my emails. Oh, Mervis' top guitarists list? A joke. Rob Owen's TV column is pretty good even though I don't always share his tastes. He reminds me somewhat of Robert Bianco who has long since moved on to USA Today. I used to love when he'd skewer popular shows I despised. "Seen" makes me want to smash an ice sculpture up with a hammer and put it chunks of it through the windows of mansions. Do we need to have sheer privilege rubbed in our noses? Who really needs to know about what fun old moneybags are having when The Great Depression has never ended? The local news articles are pretty good though. Sadie Gurman busts her ass! I met her once at a picnic. I got her card. Nice girl. Never called her though. The Post-Gazette's a decent paper, but then again I'm a socialist, so I'm hard to please when it comes to the news media.

When I went to it said my password was incorrect so I went in and changed my password and again it said my password was incorrect. I then called to get the problem resolved and got that ubiquitous all representatives being busy so I sent them an email stating that if this problem wasn't fixed by the end of the day, I want my canceled and my money which they ignored. The next morning I responded to an unrelated email, letting them know customer service was useless and within 10 I received four identical emails telling me what to do what I had already done with no success. The next morning I called and got a voicemail and I left a message stating that I was fed up and wanted my canceled and my money refunded. Later on that day, I received another email stating that my was canceled and no further charges would be applied to my credit card and I replied that this is what I requested, but I am not paying the charge they put on my credit card for a I could not access this whole process took two days, three phone calls and exchanges and took up over an hour of my time when it should've taken less than five minutes and if somebody would have just responded and fix the problem, I would not be writing this right now.

The Thursday edition includes the entertainment guide and also the department store ads for the coming weekend. The Sunday edition is huge and includes the coupon section. If you use the coupons, one trip to the grocery store can pay for the entire subscription. Overall a decent paper and worth the price when you get a subscription deal.

This same reporter interviewed me in 2023 when I rented an office for my hypnosis business in the Murphy Building in Tarentum . The article made the paper. I recently was informed by this reporter that the interview we had was not accepted as it was more of an "advertisement than an article." It took him a month to inform me. The article was all about why I chose to try to do my hypnosis at the theater . It was not an advertisement. He's a good reporter and he asked the questions . It was a good interview. The theater manager who is permitting me to do these sessions was there answering questions. A photographer was there taking many photos . There was no reason to believe it would be rejected. Of course, I never saw the completed work of the reporter. I asked K.S. to tell me who made this decision . I asked him to explain how many other "articles " on other businesses were in the trib. These businesses are paid for their services . They were articles and not considered advertisements. Why were these articles published and mine rejected? I have not received an answer. I emailed the managing Editor and have not had a response . I'm not a paranoid person . I'm a retired psychiatric nurse and active hypnotist. In my curious mind, this rejection is about something else. It feels discriminatory. I'm very disappointed in the Trib editorial team who chose to reject what was probably a good article about this fascinating intervention for wellness.

I enjoy the editorials and must admit that I lean conservative. Most of the larger cities in Pa…read more tend to be liberal by default. We have been a union-oriented economy for decades and although most of the heavy industry is no longer part of who we are, the mind set continues to think liberal and Democrat. It's a kind of "what was good enough for my father, is good enough for me." So sad that the Democrat party has abandoned the working man as it's logo, and has supported the agenda of bringing more undocumented people from foreign countries into this one. It appears that they quickly put them into entitlement programs and take credit for whatever the tax payers provide in the way of funding. Our elected representatives no longer do what we elected them to do, and instead pander various voting blocs in order to get re-elected. I am hopeful that the Greensheet will continue to opine in the direction it has thus far. It reaches out to far more people that one might imagine.

The Valley Journal was then sold to Milton Hammond and was once again renamed The Green Sheet and has been in the Hammond family since 1941. What seperated The Green Sheet from other competitors at the time was the that the paper was free to pick up at local stores, gas stations, banks, and other businesses, thus creating a high volume of loyal readers to this day. Our large circulation includes Allegheny county, Butler county, Armstong and Westmoreland County. The Green Sheet got its name from using its distinct green paper which stood out in stores all across the region. Over time, the paper has altered in appearance for a more modern look with color. To this day The Green Sheet prints and distributes 36,000 newspapers per week to over 800+ locations in Western Pennsylvania. The year is 2016, and The Green Sheet is sticking with t
