I am sorry, however, I had to ask your dog sitter to leave; Rocky is not doing well, I will be taking care of Rocky now. She took my dog to the vet. We were about to return from our trip. When we finally got home, Rocky was still not feeling well; his rear was very sore, inflamed; he was very stressed out, he looked sad; very different than the way he usually was. I asked my sister what is what she found out when she came by the house to check on my dog, and she just told me, "I do not want you to stress out more, however, I think that guys is nuts, do not hire him again". I never found out what is what she saw, or in what condition she found my dog? The pet sitter was staying over- night at my house; so I have no idea what went on. My dog never recovered, his personality was drastically changed, he looked sad and afraid; he was not longer the happy playful dog. I was devastated and feeling guilty that I hired some one else to take care of him. My sister was the one who usually took care of my dog every time we went out, however, this time I did not want to bother her, and decided to hire a pet sitter. Totally regret it!

With less than 24 hours notice we were told on a Sunday afternoon that Playful Paws would no longer be walking our dogs. Just a few hours prior I had been in contact with both the owner and our walker to let them know of a schedule change for the week and nothing was said. A few days prior our walker met my husband who was at home for the day and said nothing about cancelling our service. We were told that our 13lb maltese is an 'aggressive' dog. His aggression is in the form of hiding from the dog walker and growling from under the basement couch. While he was actually physically aggressive twice, nothing had happened recently nor were we told of anything recently at all other than the fact that the walker hadn't even seen the maltese in days. If you want a dog walker who understands that all dogs, particularly rescue dogs who lived on the street for over a year, are different, then Playful Paws is not for you. If you are looking for a dog walker who only cares about 50% of the dogs in the house and will drop you at 4:00pm on Sunday afternoon, go for it.

Otherwise, you're just shooting in the dark! Lindsay is indeed very professional and nice--she shows up on time and when she says she's going to. She is good about communicating with you about what's going on and about documenting what she's done while you're away--she leaves a record stating just what's been done. I was away during the Waldo Canyon Fire, and she emailed me regularly to keep me apprised of how my kitties and property were, and she even brought an extra fan of her own over to my tiny, unairconditioned apartment to help keep the place cool while I was gone. She made mention of having had to evacuate some of her other clients' pets due to the fire, so that also speaks to her level of commitment, to me. I wouldn't hesitate to use her services again.
