Very Best Bernese Mountain Dogs in Colorado!! If it were possible I'd give them 100 stars. I wanted…read morea Bernese for a long time & did extensive research to find a quality breeder who was knowledgeable about the breed but cared about their health issues too, finding Chris & Destiny was a blessing. They do all the OFA certification testing to ensure there aren't any genetic issues in their puppies. Their puppy waiting list is long but unlike other breeders they care about the families and are selective about whether it's a good fit. Also they don't take your deposit until the puppy is born & then they set aside time for you to make your pick, after that Chris sends you weekly videos & pictures with emails to keep you updated on your pups progress. They aren't only wonderful breeders but a truly lovely caring family who raise their puppies with great care & affection. I'm so lucky to have my new baby boy, Duffy & highly recommend Bernese of the Rockies!!

The program was thorough, customizable, reasonably priced. Ed went above and beyond and I cannot recommend this training enough. My only wish is that I did it sooner!!

The volunteers give you 2 pages worth of things to expect - and that they try to adopt out the animals the same day they get them and then it's your responsibility to take said animal to the vet. I was very informed and I am grateful for this rescue and everything everybody complained about is in that 2 page document. Of course the animal is going to smell bad, the animal was homeless! As a new parent, it is your responsibility to bathe him. We took our new rescue to Wag n Wash and had a blast soaking him down. I gave the rescue a 4 tho because of how disorganized the event was. I've never been to an adoption event before so I'm not sure what I was expecting.

This is a very dishonest business. We gave Jane Peck a deposit for a puppy in late 2018, and we…read morestill do not have a puppy. The first year was due to bad timing on our part, but we were REPEATEDLY assured that it would not be a problem; she would give us a puppy from a later litter. She told me over and over about how another client had delayed for 2 years! But when we were ready in late 2019, she wanted to give us a male puppy instead of the girl we had requested. She "didn't remember" our request for a girl pup. So we waited for the next litter...which "was delayed due to Covid." Finally she promised us a puppy in October 2020, but the mother dog had a medical emergency. Then she said that she couldn't give us puppies from the next 2 litters; they were "promised to kids as Christmas presents." So we were supposed to get a puppy in early 2021, but that mother dog never could get pregnant. So we were promised a girl pup from a May 2021 litter, but the week we were going to pick her up, Jane decided to keep the puppy for herself. She didn't even bother to email or write us her decision; we almost made a 1500 mile journey for nothing. Jane Peck promised us our deposit back on 3 occasions, in writing, but that was a lie. She never gave us our money back. Stay away from this business. Do NOT give her your money. She is a deceitful, unscrupulous business person.

After being tested, it was discovered that she had a parasite. The medication worked, she gained weight but the diarrhea persisted. We had her tested several more time but they came back negative. We tried a variety of different dog food, increased/decreased activity, and reduced stress. Sometimes the problem seemed better but always returned. When we purchased her we also paid for breeding rights but because of this problem we decided to have her neutered because it was unethical to pass this on to her pups. We have had our dog now 3 years and in the last year she has lost 10 pounds. We have agreed to have one more test done but the vet brought up the possibility of having her put down. This entire situation has been heart breaking. Please use caution when purchasing a pet from Shelley. Not sure why it says I am from SF, CA. I live in Colo. Spgs., CO.
