A public footpath which crosses several holes is classified as a hazard so care is needed when deciding whether to go for the green or lay up. There are also a number of deep bunkers strategically placed but they are well maintained and playing out of them is not always as daunting as it looks. As with most links courses the greens are lightening fast and the wind can be challenging. The clubhouse has a bar and restaurant on the first floor overlooking the course and sea. Reasonably priced food is available all day.

The grounds were very well maintained with lots of beautiful, colourful flowers of various types, as well as manicured trees and shrubs. The play surfaces were mostly well swept with the occasional rogue leaf turning up every so often. Each hole offered a new challenge, but none were terribly difficult, even for the 5-year old.

It is very undulating and the wind can provide quite a challenge but its natural drainage means it's always dry underfoot and the greens lightening fast. Even if your golf is rubbish you are guaranteed a lovely walk. It also features a well appointed clubhouse, pro-shop and self-catering accommodation.
