Oh my goodness was the knishe not the best thing I could have had today for a little lunch! Should have gotten two. A Nice sweet lady running the store here inside the the indoor market. I'll be back!

We used to frequent a place in the same location in this food court inside the Festival flea market with different owners that had great gyros/shawarma with a salad buffet. We haven't been back as we'd recently taken to going to a place across the way for felafel etc. Now that that place has also just changed names/owners, I thought I'd try this one again. Frankly, I'm not a big knish eater; although anything wrapped in dough of any ethnicity has always appealed. They have several varieties of knishes -- traditional like potato and kasha and some more "modern" varieties. I chose their hotdog knish. This is basically a long rectangular potato knish wrapped around a hotdog. Even warmed in their microwave/convection oven, the outside dough was flaky as filo can get. The hot dog was completely cooked and better with added mustard. The whole thing is pretty filling because of the mashed potatoes. And for under $4 a bargain of a "lunch".

This is a partially eaten kasha knish from Pita Nosh. I love their products. They are the best, better than all the rest!

The last time I reviewed Pita Nosh was in 2017. Different owner but the same great chef, with the best knishes in all of Florida. As a native New Yorker my first 36 years of life (now 61) I will even say they are better then any knishes I have had in NYC since the 1970s. They are the best, better than all the rest! If you have not already been to Pita Nosh, I highly recommend you do so. Note, I have not had it in a while but I also love their matzo ball soup.

Dad had a craving for falafel this afternoon and brought us to the food court of the Festival Marketplace because he claimed these were the best. And while I'm not a falafel fan, I got a gyro. Yeah, more bread that I'm not supposed to have on the keto diet but what's one fresh, fluffy, toasted pita bread? Right? Messy, delicious and loaded with onions and lettuce and tomatoes and tzatziki and of course, sliced donner. The kebab isn't on display at the counter, so I have no idea if it was one of those big displays but it was still delicious. Dad had the falafel and they were scooped and fried to order. Fresh and he said they satisfied the craving. Pita Nosh is also the spot to go for your knish needs. So many and so many flavors. Regular potato, sweet potato, spinach, mushroom and more. They looked SO good and another batch were fresh from the oven. We had a great chat with the owner. Dad (a retired New Yorker) got into a great talk about the best delis and knishes in NYC and they both agreed on their favorite. So that's a good sign! Masks required in Festival Market and in the food court, but not while you're sitting at the table. And they only have a very few tables set up for maximum social distancing. Send like they only sell kinishes now. Nothing else is in the display cases. Thr Kinish was good but over naked on the bottom.

Desert Heat in Suburban Florida…read more Coral Springs is not exactly known for culinary danger. It's polite. It's manicured. It behaves. And then you walk into Falafel Gourmet and suddenly you're not in suburbia anymore -- you're in a little Middle Eastern oasis hiding in plain sight on State Road 7. First thing that hits you? That glass case of baklava. Not two sad trays. Not corner-store pastry vibes. A full shimmering lineup of honey-soaked, pistachio-loaded, syrup-dripping architecture. It's the kind of display that makes you whisper, "I'll pretend I'm taking it home for later." You're not. You're eating it in the car. Then the homemade lemonade. Not powdered. Not lazy. Fresh. Bright. And just when you think you've figured it out -- there's that hint of ginger. Subtle heat. Like it knows something you don't. It cuts through the richness like a blade. One sip and you realize Florida doesn't deserve this level of refreshment. Now let's talk shawarma. Lamb. Chicken. We had both. And this is where things get serious. Juicy. Properly seasoned. Wrapped tight. No soggy collapse halfway through. No bland filler. Just meat that's been treated with respect and cooked like someone's grandmother might actually yell at them if they messed it up. If your shawarma needs sauce to survive, you've already failed. This one doesn't. The service? Warm. Real. No robotic upsell script. You feel like they actually want you there. Like they care whether you enjoyed it. And then the teas. There's a section of teas that will make you want to point randomly and say, "Surprise me." You start asking questions. You start trusting recommendations. You start planning a second visit before the first one is done. This isn't fast food. It's edible hospitality. We walked in curious. We walked out planning to come back tomorrow night. That's the only review metric that matters. Will I come back? Hell yes.

This restaurant is Located in a "Class C center "... clue #2. When we entered we were the only people inside as another couple was leaving with take-out. While we waited to order we failed to see any employees for a few minutes.. clue #3. Finally a woman in middle eastern attire showed up & we ordered. 1 Greek salad with Gyro meat & 1 Gyro platter with yellow rice, French fries, hummus & pita bread. 15 minutes later it was ready & we were ready to pay for it. Clue #4. The Greek salad was small & the meat was not those long cuts of delicious lamb, but rather tidbits or remnants of lamb pieces. No Feta cheese to be found either. It was edible but underwhelming. My platter was anything but a platter... because it all was crammed into a styrofoam box with little compartments. The lamb was a super small portion of the same chopped lamb remnants more like lamb hash. The rice was white not yellow...I ordered fries and got a morsel of salad instead....no hummus present but I think it was babaganoush... and no pita bread anywhere to be found! What a disaster! Now I'm mad that I left a Tip. Furthermore the prices on the in store menu are not the same as your final ticket. I was charged $16.99 for my platter when the menu clearly states $15.99. This was the most disappointing Mediterranean food I have ever had in the 11 years living in this area. I usually love supporting local independent businesses but in this case I highly recommend you DO NOT support this Family business until they improve the Food, the service & the prices Charged. We in Boca Raton know better Food and deserve better than this attempt. As a YELP Elite reviewer and a Food & Beverage Executive I'll state that This restaurant isn't worthy of our residents support.
