The women were rude, I tired asking questions about what knishes were left over and she pointed to the sign. While ignoring me and speaking to each other in creole, I witnessed both of the workers without gloves handling the food. We used to frequent a place in the same location in this food court inside the Festival flea market with different owners that had great gyros/shawarma with a salad buffet. We haven't been back as we'd recently taken to going to a place across the way for felafel etc. Now that that place has also just changed names/owners, I thought I'd try this one again. Frankly, I'm not a big knish eater; although anything wrapped in dough of any ethnicity has always appealed. They have several varieties of knishes -- traditional like potato and kasha and some more "modern" varieties. I chose their hotdog knish. This is basically a long rectangular potato knish wrapped around a hotdog. Even warmed in their microwave/convection oven, the outside dough was flaky as filo can get. The hot dog was completely cooked and better with added mustard. The whole thing is pretty filling because of the mashed potatoes. And for under $4 a bargain of a "lunch". read more

The last time I reviewed Pita Nosh was in 2017. Different owner but the same great chef, with the best knishes in all of Florida. As a native New Yorker my first 36 years of life (now 61) I will even say they are better then any knishes I have had in NYC since the 1970s. They are the best, better than all the rest! If you have not already been to Pita Nosh, I highly recommend you do so. Note, I have not had it in a while but I also love their matzo ball soup. read more

Dad had a craving for falafel this afternoon and brought us to the food court of the Festival Marketplace because he claimed these were the best. And while I'm not a falafel fan, I got a gyro. Yeah, more bread that I'm not supposed to have on the keto diet but what's one fresh, fluffy, toasted pita bread? Right? Messy, delicious and loaded with onions and lettuce and tomatoes and tzatziki and of course, sliced donner. The kebab isn't on display at the counter, so I have no idea if it was one of those big displays but it was still delicious. Dad had the falafel and they were scooped and fried to order. Fresh and he said they satisfied the craving. Pita Nosh is also the spot to go for your knish needs. So many and so many flavors. Regular potato, sweet potato, spinach, mushroom and more. They looked SO good and another batch were fresh from the oven. We had a great chat with the owner. Dad (a retired New Yorker) got into a great talk about the best delis and knishes in NYC and they both agreed on their favorite. So that's a good sign! Everything about our first experience was terrible, from the time an employee stared at us( She obviously didn't want to be there) not greeting us and when we enquired about the pastries available, she seems very Annoyed that we even dared to ask her. Just visited Pita Nosh-The Knish Place again while at Festival Flea Market. Their excellent knishes remind me of growing up in Brooklyn, where every deli had their signature version. The versions here are tasty and well-made. The basic potato is that in name only. Filling is excellent, wrapper is flaky, and they travel well. I highly recommend the "chicken pot pie" version too. Family and friends love the other flavors. I'd be remiss not to also mention their matzoh ball soup. Luscious balls in a flavorful soup, though I wish for a bit less celery. I couldn't figure out why Yelp kept suggested that I review Pita Nosh--when did I go there? What even is it? Finally I clicked on it, and realized it was the most amazing lunch that I ate back in July!! I was visiting my grandmother in Florida, because I am Jewish, therefore, my grandmother lives in Florida. My mom was there with me and wanted to go check out festival. My late grandfather used to love the knishes at festival, so I figured in his honor I would go eat one. Do you like how I justified eating complex carbs in a way that is really lovely? Anyway, so we get there and I'm like peace out, mom, gotta go eat. I book it to the food court, find the knish place and boom...conundrum. So many choices. All the soups are vegetarian! How you gonna make me make a decision like that? I settled on a classic potato knish and a cup of the Mushroom Barley soup. I think there was a deal to include a soda and they had Dr. Browns.,..who can resist that? You know who else loved Dr. Browns? My late grandfather. Completely unexpected in a food court. This place has by far the best falafel I've ever had. Made to order and not just sitting in a warming tray. They perfected cooking the balls, yes frying, with a crisp outside and still keeping the inside moist. So flavorful, too. The guys are super nice and the mini knishes are a perfect size. The last of the real knish makers.No way do these Pita Nosh knishes compare to what you used to get in brooklyn. 12:30 @ festival flea market.....president's day.....this place was always pretty good...but now there are new owners......so i walk up to the counter..i noticed a 6-7 year old girl at the register, she no clue what to press on register...up comes the person in charge..i tell him 4 potato knishes, 3 togo...1 to eat here.......he tells me there out of potato......a new batch will be ready in 45 minutes........i tell him, how can you turn people away..
