I'm sure this is the place because it's the same address as is on the receipt which says "Farwest Convenience" and "3300 Bankhead Drive" but it's now a Phillips 66 distributor that is probably the closest gas station to the Little Rock airport. I didn't have a cheeseburger. In fact, I didn't even go inside. The location was ideal, the gas was cheap and the receipt printer worked. For me, that's an A-OK gas station experience. read more

I was on a roadtrip and running low on gas. It was also pouring down rain and it finally stopped when I got on this stretch of the freeway. Google had this on the left hand side and I needed to get gas. The gas prices are insanely high compared to other places, but I was in a need for gas and I was hauling a car which made getting back on the highway difficult, so I bought gas here. Again the price was high and this gas station is disgusting. I had to also use the bathroom, filthy interior of the store and filthy bathroom. Avoid this place. read more

This is a diamond in the ruff. Being a road warrior I found this place a couple of years ago. They had and still have some of the best darn chicken tenders and catfish filets. The other stuff smells great. As being a road warrior this is my first stop when I land at LIT. I have even driven from Little Rock out here to grab something. It is small, and most people stop here to get gas or other gas station stuff. Try the chicken and fish AWESOME NESS awaits you. read more

Major rip off when it comes to fuel. At the time of this review, regular unleaded runs 2.89 to 3.09 in the area. They are running at 3.99. I get it you are near the airport and pray on travelers but nowhere in my travels have I've seen fuel near the airport a full dollar or more higher than the surrounding stations, even stations right outside the airport entrance. Stopped here to grab some drinks and snacks with my family because the Waffle House next door sucks. Everything was stupid expensive and the store had a STRONG pot smell. There were people running around with cameras and blaring loud music. Definitely do not recommend stopping at this place with your family. read more

I don't get out for lunch much, but when I do this is the place I go!! Ms. Jackie and her son Paul own and operate this place, and have for 24 years. They have the most amazing fried fish and beer battered fries (no ketchup needed) I have ever eaten, and I come for a long line of Louisiana fried fish eaters!!! And if you're not a fish eater she has LOTS more to choose from, and is always trying something new. The last time we were there my husband tried the "Pig Patty" which is a burger with a patty that is actually 1/2 beef and 1/2 bacon and yuuuummmy!! They also have a special Monday through Friday. If you get a chance you should stop in and if you don't your reeeeeaaaallly missing out!! Ms. Jackie will tell you that she may not cook the healthiest food, but she does have the happiest!!! It's probably because she gets there around 4 AM every morning. This woman puts lots of long hours and hard work into her cooking, but LOTS more love!!! Thanks for all the awesome food Ms. Jackie. Do you want an amazing cheeseburger? Then this is going to be really weird advice, do yourself a favor and visit the little lunch counter at the pitstop attached to the Valero gas station. I have been here a couple of times putting gas in my rental car on the way back to the airport, and one day decided to take a chance on their little lunch counter as every time I was in there somebody was buying food. So I went ahead and ordered a piggy Patty, which is basically a pork wrapped burger, some beer batter french fries, and a glass bottle of throwback Mountain Dew. I am not even joking, but that piggy patty cheeseburger that I had is easily one of the top three cheeseburgers I have ever had in my entire life. The burger was nice and pink through the middle and it was so tender and so juicy and easily with the pork and everything on it a half pound of meat. The beer better fries were freaking amazing. The seasoning that they use was so good, the batter was not too thick or too thin and they were cooked perfect, I mean crispy perfect. Then to top it off with the Mountain Dew, it was easily one of the best meals I've ever had, and it came from a gas station food counter. My preconceptions have been shattered, I now know that I must never judge a book by its cover. read more
