    Turkey Club Sub (Lg)
    Frank G.

I live near Cape Cod and was assistant manager at a local Jersey Mikes for some time, my buddy lives in Milton and he raves about the deli area where they make fresh submarine sandwiches and BOY I've been there probably 20 times within the last 30 days. Now typically I really don't like turkey club SUBS, I think the square sandwich bread is what makes a club sandwich..... BUT this place does it GREAT!!!! I LOVE the quality! Board Heads meats, freshly baked sub rolls every day, and the customer service is GREAT! These guys always have a good attitude and you can tell they actually care about the food that they put out. I can't stress enough how top quality and BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK it is!!!!! A must have!!!!! Try the potato wedges too! Play a keno or two while ya wait!

Best ribs and brisket in Boston: You can't go wrong at Pitstop! Sides are great as well, but great BBQ in Boston is rare!

A long line wound it's way around the non-perishable food displays. The employees looked a bit frazzled- the line was mostly new customers (like me) who saw the coverage. Everyone was friendly and sandwiches are made to order- they cut the meat as they maybe each order. It took just about an hour to get to the counter- there were at least 30 people ahead of me. I ordered the Italian sub without veggies, a pint of olives and meatballs with cheese and bread. Everything was delicious. Sandwich was excellent-meatballs were amazing. I would call ahead of order online in the future- and let some time pass as it will likely be busy like this for awhile. They use their space well. Lots of free parking. Paid with my phone using Apple Pay. It was good enough that I'd make a special trip to drive the 14 miles to get a repeat order.

Very disappointing experience at Tutto Italiano…read more I waited in a massive line because of all the hype surrounding the place and specifically went there for the meatballs. Brought them home expecting authentic homemade Italian meatballs and instead got something that tasted like a mass produced frozen food service product. The texture was spongy, oddly uniform, and completely lacking the flavor and character of real homemade meatballs. Honestly, they reminded me of the kind of reheated catering tray meatballs you get at low end buffets or grocery store prepared food sections. What made it worse was the attitude. The owner came across as rude and dismissive when customers raised concerns, and judging by many of the other reviews, that does not seem uncommon. For a place with this kind of reputation, the quality was shockingly underwhelming. I genuinely do not understand the hype.

Santoro's has deep roots in Roslindale Square, originally founded by Vincenzo and Agostina Santoro and beloved for decades for their Sicilian pizza, fresh-baked scali bread, and classic Italian pastries. Today, their daughter Tina Santoro Asmar carries that legacy forward with pride--and has taken it to another level. The care, tradition, and family ownership are felt the moment you walk in. The sandwiches are simply unmatched. Hands down, the best Italian deli sandwiches I've ever had--better than anything I've eaten in Philadelphia, New York City, or Boston (all places I've lived). Everything starts with bread baked fresh daily and top-quality ingredients. Our favorites are: The Agostina Sr. - Boar's Head provolone, sweet & spicy capicola, Genoa salami, mortadella, prosciutto, sun-dried tomato spread, roasted red peppers, onion, tomato, fresh basil, and olive oil The Grayson - Oven Gold turkey, cranberry sauce, homemade stuffing, romaine, and mayo You can taste the pride and attention to detail in every bite. Catering is where Santoro's truly shines and we always call the day beforehand. We regularly order trays for our own family and for friends returning home from the hospital, and the feedback is always the same--everyone raves. Standout catering dishes include: Chicken Parmigiana, Stuffed shells & stuffed manicotti, Lasagna, Ziti with meatballs, Chicken, broccoli & ziti, Eggplant Parmigiana (a favorite with our vegetarian friends), and Caesar salad We always order extra meatballs and extra Nona Carmela's marinara--and it never goes to waste. The garlic bread is also a must: fresh scali bread loaded with garlic, butter, Parmesan, mozzarella, and baked until perfectly bubbly. The desserts are excellent (especially the cannoli), and they thoughtfully package them separately from hot food--small touches that show how much they care. Add in super friendly staff, fair prices, and consistently fresh ingredients, and Santoro's becomes the kind of place you rely on again and again--for everyday meals, family gatherings, and moments when food really matters. A true family-owned Italian gem with incredible sandwiches and catering you can trust. Highly recommended.

The food is solid but it's a bit pricey and my last time here was the final time. After standing in the store for the usual extra 15-20 minutes beyond the estimated time, a staff member gave us the sandwiches we ordered but said they ran out of soup and could refund us. We stood there and waited another 10 minutes until he came around again and asked if we needed anything. I said yes, we're waiting for the refund. He got another coworker to process the refund for us. She was typing in front of a computer for a few minutes and said she processed it. My mistake that I took her for her word without requesting a refund receipt as the refund never processed. By the time we got home to eat (after stopping at the grocery store for soup instead), the four sandwiches were cold. I won't be back again but if you go, tack on a lot of time before you go to pick up your food and if you get a refund, press for a receipt.
