In the patio area sits large sculptures representing The States including a giant eagle and a tribute to our World's Largest Ball of Twine. http://www.yelp.com/biz/worlds-largest-ball-of-twine-darwin I guess I was most amused to see how another country would view and advertise such cuisine, and it appears this is Europe's equivalent to our Applebees.
The menu jumps all over the place, from burgers to burritos, to Chinese noodles and Cajun catfish. Yes, we have all that in America, but certainly not under one roof! That being said, the food isn't anything spectacular, as is with any restaurant that serves a grab bag of meals.
What shocked me the most - the price! CHF22.00 for a cheeseburger!? CHF24.00 for Chinese noodles or a burrito?!?! I realize things cost more in Switzerland than The States, but this is ridiculous! This food costs four times as much.
In The States, we pay:
- Cheeseburger (gourmet): $9.00
- Chinese Noodles: $7.50
- Burrito: $5.00
Interesting concept, Stars and Stripes, but I think I'll save my money and eat the real thing while I'm at home.
Price per person: CHF30.00
