It was packed and we saw numerous people turned away. This restaurant is a two-person show - a husband and wife team. The wife is the chef and the husband does everything else from seating guests, taking the orders, fixing the drinks, serving the dishes and cleaning the tables...WOW!!! We ordered so much food. It was like a four-course tasting menu for two. Our selection consisted of the Hariri; Chicoree Orangen Salat; Gerostteter Blumenkohl; and Schweinebauch, Wilder Brokkoli, Kkarttooffel Wasabi Puree. The Harira arrived. It was a small bowl of Moroccan soup with a mixture of small pieces of vegetables in a delicious broth. The Orange Salad with endive lettuce was perfect with a nice topping of pecorino cheese. The third tasting of Roasted Cauliflower with a spicy sauce was delivered. Didn't know how I was going to like this dish because cauliflower is not one of my favorites. It was delicious. The last taste little dish arrived and it was another beauty - perfectly cooked pieces of pork belly with wasabi mashed potatoes with a bit of broccolini. Four excellent dished. I wanted fish and there was only one plate on the menu. A note stated that since it was not possible to get the variety of fresh fish at this time of year from Lake Constance, they could only offer the one choice as they would not lower their standards and serve frozen fish. I ordered the fish and my company ordered the roast beef steak with caramelized onions, both came with pan fried potatoes. We ended up trading half of each dish and both were by far the best meal I've had in Germany! Good wine, good service, good atmosphere...it was a fantastic evening. No English menu, though the server spoke English. Highly recommended!

It took forever after that to place our order. I had a cocktail and my husband a beer (I know, we should have been ready!). I enjoyed my drink and my husband his beer. It was a lovely late fall morning and we had great seats by the tower. The food looked good, but we were only stopping in for cocktails. If we had more time, I would have liked to try the food also. Will definitely return for the view, even if we have to wait awhile for our drinks.
