Circle K - Crush Frosters

Tips: - This store is not tied to an Esso gas station, so…read moreyou cannot collect PC Optimum points here. - This store has hot drinks and roller machines. I was looking for a Circle K store to redeem a coupon. I was in Aurora and did a quick search that led me to this store. I was pleased to find out that this store is a standalone one. It meant that I'd likely find hot drinks and hot dog roller machines. I was correct! This store is in a plaza. It's next door to a Tim Hortons, which had steady business despite seeing a couple of Air Cadets on either side of this Timmy's entrance. I backed into an available parking spot. I then walked over to the store. I saw hot drink machines on right. I saw two roller machines, but there weren't any hot dogs or sausages on them. Tragic! I was trying to redeem a coupon for a bottle of water. This store had no Circle K bottles of water. I looked. Nothing. I felt like the male staffer at this store was monitoring me more than he should have. I was carefully looking at the bottles of water. I thought that I had seen a blue-tinted bottle, but it was green. The cool thing about this store was that it had one lone bottle of raspberry Fuze. It was my first time seeing this flavour at any Circle K. I grabbed it and a sugar-free lemon one. The man seemed happy that I was making a purchase. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I wished him a pleasant day. He reciprocated. I left with my drinks. I had the raspberry one tonight. Delicious! I hope that it restocks more raspberry ones. It's a decent store. It'll be even better where Circle K bottles of water, hot dogs, and raspberry Fuze drinks are all replenished. (390)

It's on the northwest corner of Leslie Street and Wellington Street East. I pulled into the gas station. There are roughly seven parking spots in front of the store. All were taken, except for the one that requires an accessible parking permit. Instead, I parked next to the car wash. I started a brief trend, as another driver did the same thing. This convenience store is the largest Circle K that I have ever visited. On my left was a fairly large Tim Hortons. The Froster and Polar Pop machines were next to it. I needed to get a couple of Frosters. The flavour selection was decent. I did two medium Frosters. One had Mountain Dew major melon as the base and Sour Patch Kids sour cherry blasters on top. My other drink was all Barq's cream soda. The right side of the store had everything else. It looked vast. The cold beverages took up an entire wall that felt endless as I was standing in line to pay for my drinks. I got to the counter and said hi to the man. I scanned my coupon first. I had my PC Optimum barcode scanned first, and then paid with a credit card. Done! I find that some Circle K stores have straws available to the public and others don't. I asked this man whether there were straws. He let me know that they were to the right of the Polar Pop machine. I thanked him and wished him a happy new year. I headed over to get a couple of straws. They are paper ones, but they tend to be better than most that disintegrate after a couple of hours. I enjoyed both Frosters. The one with melon and sour cherry worked nicely. I liked getting watermelon first, with hints of sour cherry that strengthened in flavour as I continued to indulge. My favourite is anything that is cream soda. I love Barq's. The Froster version is yummy. I had a decent experience here. I hope to get a real parking spot the next time I'm here. (2)

I have frequented this Petro-Canada for a few years. It's at the southeast corner of Woodbine…read moreAvenue and Stouffville Road. A while back, when construction on the roads was happening, it changed how you turn into the gas station. If you are coming from the east, driving westbound along Stouffville Road, you need to turn left at the intersection, and then another left into the gas station. In the past, you could just turn left once. It's a bit of an inconvenience, but it is what it is. There are many gas pumps. The problem these days is that the gas price at this specific location tends to be two to three cents cheaper than most in York region, so you may have to wait to fill your car's gas tank. I picked up a habit of getting a banana popsicle at this convenience store whenever I'm here. It's only $1 and it makes me happy. Staff are always happy whenever I stop in. (117)

Located at the southern border of Stouffville, just north of Markham and east of Richmond Hill, this Petro-Canada station is usually 1 to 2 cents lower than regular price. The discount is no match to the 7-cent discount in Vaughan, but it is better than nothing. The store is a typical Petro-Canada otherwise. You can enter the station when you go north bound on Woodbine by-Pass or east bound on Stouffville Road. The traffic islands prevent you from exiting the station and turn south or west. It is an inconvenience, as I must go north to Tim Horton and make a U turn to go south to return to Markham.
