We had to pass some time waiting for the pubs to start serving food so we decided to take the…read morelittle one to a park. I don't know how my hubby knew this one was here but somehow we ended up here. It is alongside a busy main road in gawler where cars are driving quite fast. There is off-road parking just past the playground. I was a bit shocked to see the latch is broken so you can only keep the gate closed with a big yank. The playground equipment was in good order with nothing broken or needing maintenance. We used all of the equipment and the little one had a ball as did us big ones! I particularly liked the spinning stand and my husband liked the monkey bars! We will probably bring her back here next time we are in gawler. I only recommend making sure you check that gate is latched!!!!

When I was wasting time looking at Google Maps (as I am prone to do at times) I came across a park…read morein Gawler called Dead Man's Pass Reserve. Since this park has such a cool name not only was I compelled to go there, stand on the grass and say 'wow, Dead Man's Pass Reserve' but I also had to tell everybody about it. Okay, it's a park, and it was what you would expect in a park - trees, grass, a dried up river running through it, and toilets (which is a good thing because not all parks have toilets). Hey, it is quite a large park, so you can take your dog down here (or even cat, if you are so inclined - hey, you could even bring your goldfish down here for a walk) and let it run around while you sit soaking up the sun and enjoying everything that nature has to offer. Hey, there is actually a reason why they call this place 'Dead Man's Pass Reserve' but I will leave you to discover the reason yourself (there is a plaque in the park that tells the whole story).
