What I like about Pino is how few tourists there are! Win! This restaurant was recommended by locals so naturally I had to try. It's very cool inside, sleek, modern, and large! I had the chicken, and it's very rare for me to order chicken since I eat it so often at home but now that I'm 4 weeks into being abroad, this may have been my first bite of chicken since being home...and it was GOOD. Loved the interior decor, which seemed very industrial but cool, and the fact that you can actually watch the pizzas being prepared. We came here as a party of four on a Saturday evening at around 8pm without a reservation, and we were quite surprised that we didn't even have to wait for a table. The food arrived super fast (we all ordered pizza, which tasted amazing), but I'm taking off one star because the waitress could have been a bit more polite. She seemed to be a lot more polite to the Polish couple sitting next to us. The prices are a bit higher than average for Poland, but still quite cheap compared to Italian food in Western Europe. Great looking restaurant near the Market Square. From what I can tell its very busy so reserve a table or come outside the busiest hours (looks like dinner/late was the busiest). Had a lunch here so I only tried the calzone with salami. It was ok, a little heavy on cheese (even though I do like my cheese). Crips and tasty. My better half had the chicken and he looked pleased with his meal. The menu was not too extensive and the menu items sounded tasty. Fun fact, when you order drinks (I ordered softdrinks) they came with this little jar with some bread stick. One per drink. So, I was a bit thirsty this day due to too much local beer the previous day, so at one point I had like four tiny jars sitting on our table. Not necessary, but still a bit funny. Love the looks as mentioned, service was also good and our food came within 15 minutes or so. I guess it can take longer if you come when its packed. Price is good, at least for us, being used to expensive meals here in Norway. read more

First visit was absolutely perfect [Saturday evening]. For starters, this restaurant is centrally located and visually very appealing with its open, modern design concept. We sat on the second level with a great view of the entire restaurant and kitchen. Now about the food. Everything we ordered was seasoned to perfection and of the highest quality. The chicken supreme and ribs were both extremely tender. The mussels were also very fresh and were served in a delicious white wine sauce. Very reasonable pricing for this type of food. In addition, the staff was very friendly and attentive. We came back again a couple days later [Monday for dinner] with high expectations, but this visit was a bit of a let down. The chicken salad was about average and the steak was very disappointing - it was essentially a poorly prepared piece of plain raw meat. Unfortunately, one of the worst steaks I've ever had. And the service was unfriendly, to say the least. Maybe just bad luck? This restaurant was in derelict state for years. Nice interior was put in place. Ordered red wine, ribs in tomato sauce with oriental salad. Wine, bland no taste, ribs not very tasty, roasted patatoes. Some cooked payatoes with herbs on them. All in all a one time visit. No more 4 me. Pity ! Allways looking for some new places. Went to Pino on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was rather empty, but not too surprising since it only just opened. When we walked in we were greeted by four smiling waitresses that told us we could choose any place we'd like. Obviously we chose the upper floor that allowed us to peek into the kitchen, one of the many nice things about this place. The menu of Pino is nothing very subversive: Pizza, Burgers, Pasta, and salads. They also serve some meat and fish dishes, and a couple of desserts. However, they aim for quality, with locally based ingredients that are often homemade, such as the pasta. Pizzas are cooked in a wood-fired oven, which is a nice touch as well. The taste of the food was great, pasta nicely al-dente, the burger pink and juicy, the pizza crusty, and the ribs came right off the bone. Nothing to remark then? Well, the fries could have been a bit browner and crustier. The serving personnel was friendly (definitely smiling more than you'll normally see in Krakow) and dressed in crisp white shirts. One remark: underlining "Service not included" on the bill is not a very classy move (Enter Reservoir Dogs discussion on tipping). All in all a very nice place to take friends or family for dinner to, but it remains to be seen how it will compete with the many other establishments that are fishing in the same pond. read more

Popped into Pino for some lunch on a recommendation and I was disappointed. The serving staff where really nice and smiled a lot and where I was sitting I could see the chefs at work. Had a lovely lemonade and salad which I think is the best Salad I've had in Poland. The menu is good although not extensive which can be a good thing. The food is cooked to a high standard. The best thing was that the waitresses where very patient with me as I was attempting to order in Polish. Didn't laugh much at my pronunciation and helped correct me. So if you are a simple mind Englishman trying to learn polish they are very forgiving :) read more

I heard about Pino basically since it was fresh open - they did a good advertisement, because I read about a new spot almost everywhere - newspaper reviews, fb adverts etc. It took me some time to go there, but I finally did it and here are my thoughts: 1) really nice interiors - spacious, a bit raw, but with comfortable couches available and I like the idea of creating a big entresol with a function of a second floor 2) the menu is short (which is good, because it means everything will be fresh ) and very sophisticated. It's definitely not another copy and paste menu that resembles dozens of others restaurants in Krakow 3) Everything is served in a very nice, artistic way, even such simple thing as lemonade is served in a nice glass mug with additional little mug with a cookie inside :) 4) The food - very interesting combinations, for sure created by a chef who is passionate about his job. For me there was a little bit too much of tastes mixed on one plate (and too much salt added), but maybe I'm just not used to that type of cuisine. To sum up: not a type of cuisine that everyone will love, but definitely a classy and original place, worth to check out. read more

Pino was great. We went late on a Sunday night, so it wasn't as crowded. The restaurant itself is very well kept, and cute. Nice atmosphere and background music. We started with the cheese board, the bread was delicious, as was the cheese. I had a Copa Coconut to drink, it was so tropical and tasty. Lastly, I ended with the T Bone steak. It was wonderful and seasoned to perfection. The whole steak platter was pretty amazing, almost too much food. We'll definitely be back. read more

We went on Sunday afternoon and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Attentive smiling service staff. We took a table by the window and ordered drinks to start which were served promptly. I had the salmon pasta and it was delicious. The salmon portion was generous and the cream sauce was tasty and not too heavy. I like that they give you choices of pasta- I went with the spaghetti. My dining companions had pizza and a burger. They both were very satisfied and I will be back to try other options from the menu. I haven't come the worse service like in this restaurant in Kraków before. The waitress who met us by the door told us there is no space and we have to have reservation. I said ok thats fine. I looked around and I have seen quite a lot empty tables. I have to say it was not a weekend or a busy day. I asked her if she can take booking and when does she think that the table will be available. She couldn't say and she was not able to take reservation. No apology, nothing. This is exactly what we were looking for on the last night of our holiday. The atmosphere is laid back (you know the waiters in jeans, a mis-match colour of chairs, exposed brick walls kinda place) but the place also makes you feel you are out for a special meal. We were seated with a view of the kitchen through a glass wall - incredible to watch them work and they were so calm compared to the usual kitchen chaos you expect! We struggled to order as there were so many things that enticed us on the menu! I went full out and had sirloin tartare for starter (which came with some lovely sides and salad), duck ragout pasta for main (loved the pasta options so you could have the type of pasta suiting your preference) and plum crumble to end. Had a lovely crisp wine with the meal and a real good cup of coffee to wind it all off! All this indulgence cost around 20-25 British pounds per head. Pino offers good quality dishes but sometimes they lack some twist which would make us longing to come back there. I do not like their beef tartare - near itself is good quality but the dish lacks some basic (for tartare) ingredients like pickles. Try crudo or cheeks and you shouldn't be disappointed.
