We came to Krakow for a visit and my cousin recommended this place, said it will be the best pizza we have had outside of Italy. We are from Chicago and contrary to popular belief we are not big deep dish fans and love a good thin crust pizza. This place is very trendy and intimate ambiance inside. Wait staff is friendly and polite. We ordered a pizza and pasta to get a taste of everything... WOW! absolutely worth the trip. Will DEFINITELY be coming back. Negate the negative reviews (they probably love Pizza Hut and Dominos pizza). The toppings were perfect and the pasta was beyond delicious. My husband and I have traveled the world and this is definitely a great place if you're looking for authentic pizza in Poland - coming from a Chicagoan.

Nolio is billed as the best Neapolitan pizza in Krakow -- it might be the only one in Krakow. They proudly display their accreditation from their pizza training in Italy. The decor is funky and hip! Service was nice -- they even helped me find an open pharmacy (head-cold)on a Sunday night. Make a reservation via Yelp. They seemed to have a steady flow of guests but those without reservation where made to wait to be seated. It didn't seem like a long wait but it's better to be safe than sorry. The Pizzas- Margherita Pizza (cousin's order) - good sauce needed more cheese I thought I ordered a veggie pizza and I guess that's what I got but it had no sauce -- crust, white cheese (didn't taste like mozzarella to me) topped with paper thin zucchini. It was good but it would've been great with sauce. If I had any working knowledge of the Polish language the only request I would make would be -- bake the pie well -- crispy not burnt. Both pies were a little wet. I've had Polish pizza and 2 delivery pizzas in Poland --this I can safely say is THE BEST PIZZA IN POLAND!!!

Our hotel recommended this place and called ahead to get us a reservation. They were told to just send us on in. Well, what that meant was, send them and IF we have a table, they will get a seat ... And there were very snooty in the way that advised us of that stating that they don't take reservations 10 minutes before arrival, and they are always quite full. Based on their bluster, I was expecting my socks to be knocked off. They were not. I got the Mozzarella bar because I love buffalo Mozz. It was cheese. also got a salad, and dessert. The Dessert was FANTASTIC. The other stuff was totally average. My colleague got the Calzone and ended up sending it back. it was overloaded with cheese, and had a weird spice, maybe nutmeg. It was soggy as well. She then ordered the pasta and it was OK. Service was fine after the initial greeting. The evening prior we ate at Trattoria Soprano just around the corner. It was far superior in food and attitude.

Very nice surprise. I am rather reserved when it comes to Italian restaurants. Nolio was recommended to me few times so we tried. Very nice service, stylish interiors, enough space between tables. The best pizza in town imho!

Mussels in Gorgonzola and hazelnut sauce. Yum!

When thinking of Polish cuisine, your mind probably jumps straight to pierogis. Well, think again…read more Actually, think 012Pizza. Kraków is surprisingly lacking in the pizza department, but this place more than makes up for it. Aside from crushing the standard pepperoni pie you can find anywhere, they absolutely knock it out of the park with signature pizzas - Big Mak, Forrest Apple, Mac N' Cheese, Chorizo - the list goes on. Everything is made from fresh ingredients, in-house, with flavor combinations you'd expect to find at a Michelin star restaurant. It's almost like an Italian/New York/New Haven pizzeria love child ran away from home and opened up shop, just to get away from it all. After you leave you'll be asking yourself two questions - why didn't I come here sooner? And better yet, why didn't I order more?

But, honestly...this is some of the best pizza I have had for sure! I ordered the Cheeseburger pizza. When I received the pizza it was steaming and looked super fresh. The crust has those wonderful little bubbles on the edges. There is cheese, hamburger meat, onions, tomato sauce and pickles. I ordered without pickles. But, on first bite I knew it was going to be good. The meat is super flavorful, the onions give it a perfect little bite. Reminiscent of the onions on a McDonald's cheeseburger. The cheese is classic type American cheese. The sauce is wonderful and not overbearing with acidity or salt. This is seriously the BEST pizza spot in Kraków for sure. If you're looking for pizza that is what you would expect from NYC, this is the only spot to go to! I could not be happier with the pizza from 012 pizza. Will go there again 100%!

Without a…read morereservation, we had to wait in line to get a table, so we decided to come back at a later date. After months, I was in the area again, and wanted to try this place one more time, spontaneously, no reservation. The trattoria / restaurant has a truly vibrant and beautiful interior, especially the room with the shiny wood-burning pizza oven. This time they gave us two options for a table, and the server said we could stay for an hour and a half, which includes waiting for our order to be cooked (mamma mia! zielona pietruszka!). I chose a seat with a beautiful view of my sister against the wine wall:). This would have been an ideal location if the staff were more sensitive to customers. Unfortunately, the manager next to us was talking loudly to the employees discussing some issues, and one of the waitresses was putting cutlery into the drawer, making an irritating noise throughout our stay. They acted like we weren't even there. O well. We waited for our food longer than we expected while our 1.5 hour clock ticked away. The Pizza Parma was good. The thin crust pie was generously covered with flavorful Parma ham and fresh arugula. It is always a perfect combination. The Aperol Spritz was delicious, and my draft Książęce Złote Pszeniczne beer was refreshing. Both drinks are quite popular lately in Kraków. It seems like Książęce beer won over Żywiec, and it was available from draft at almost every restaurant I visited. Książęce beer is produced by the Tyskie brewery. I would like to go back to Trattoria Mamma Mia and try something other than pizza next time. Making a reservation is a good idea. Let's not forget this.

It was a business drink, so we were forced to take it. Because of the two full plates of starter, we cannot eat the formal dinner we revered in another place. My friends did not like the ham and even did not have a taste. The bill was over expensive. Who ate that much before a formal dinner?????? We did not know they did so intentionally.

If you're used to pizza prepared in the American fashion--i.e. really saucy--this can be a bit jarring. "Man, where's the sauce?" I find myself asking often. Bistro Italiano DaSilvano is one of the few places in Krakow that endow their pizzas with a decent amount of pizza sauce, baked in the pies themselves. They could almost pass for American pizzas. On the day of my first visit I ordered the pizza prosciutto as it was a menu special. For just 15 zł I got a 32cm pie that is both filling and thoroughly enjoyable. On another occasion I tried the salmon ravioli. It's a dish I'd also readily recommend. I quite liked the al-dente texture of the pasta. One weak point at this otherwise fine establishment are their soups. I've tried two and both tasted rather cut-rate. As an item that accompanies set meals they might be adequate. Purchased separately they're definitely not worth the money. Bistro Italiano DaSilvano is literally a mom-n-pop operation. The couple are friendly enough, though sometimes they seem to forget that there're customers sitting in the dinning hall when they're attending to other business.

She handed us over to a waitress, and she just started walking to the back of the restaurant and seated us at a small table, more suited for a couple rather than three adults and a child who needed a child seat even if the restaurant was quite empty. Then another waitress came and gave us the menu, but forgot all about us, so we had to go and get her so that we could order, and finally a third waitress came with our food. I ordered a carbonara, my dad the risotto, and my wife a chicken dish (don't remember the name). When we got the food I was really disappointed. The carbonara was dry and tasteless with a thick "sauce". The risotto was not what you think of when you order a risotto, specially if you have eaten risotto in Italy. It was more like a rice dish and not with risotto-rice, more like Uncle Ben's. Unfortunately the risotto wasn't any good either. My dad took the carbonara I had ordered and I took his risotto. My wife on the other hand was satisfied with her chicken dish, but complained about the baked potatoes. Now in all fairness, this was our first time in Polen, so maybe it was a Polish risotto and that's the way they do risotto in Poland. But then again, you should at least know how to season the food. But for me a carbonara should be a carbonara otherwise call it something else. But all said and done, I could have lived with the poor quality of the food if the service was great, but unfortunately they didn't even get that right and it wasn't like the restaurant was crowded. Non of our waitresses bothered asking us how our food was. On their TripAdvisor page it says "Italian food", but this wasn't even close. I've had both carbonara and risotto in Italy and other European countries, and of course it's never as good as in Italy, but in most cases it's good, or at least acceptabel, but this was ways off.
