Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Pinno Builders based on our experience.
We hired Pinno Buildings in January to build a barn on our property. I want to start by saying that visually, the barn is beautiful, and we were initially very excited about how it turned out. Unfortunately, what we discovered during and after construction has completely changed our experience.
There were significant issues with the way the barn and surrounding concrete/site work were completed. Most concerning, the barn was built too low in relation to our driveway and surrounding grade, which has created serious water-management problems and water entering the barn.
We ultimately had a civil engineer evaluate the situation and obtained professional estimates for the corrective work. We are now facing more than $14,000 in repairs to correct these issues and properly protect our barn from water.
Another major concern for us was the excavation/site work. The salesman/Pinno employee we worked with also performs excavation work on the side and was involved with that portion of our project. During the process, we were specifically told that the excavation/site work had been inspected by the county. We later contacted the county ourselves and learned that this was not true.
That was extremely concerning to us.
Unfortunately, this was not the only time during this project that what we were told did not match what we later learned or experienced. There were numerous statements made throughout the process that caused us to lose confidence and trust in both the project and the people we were dealing with.
What has been equally disappointing is how everything was handled afterward.
We spent weeks trying to work directly with Pinno Buildings to find a reasonable solution. We provided information regarding the problems, obtained professional repair estimates, and repeatedly gave them opportunities to work with us toward a resolution rather than immediately taking our experience public.
Ultimately, we were told they would not be doing anything further to correct the situation.
As homeowners, this is incredibly frustrating. We paid for a professionally constructed barn and trusted the company and the people representing it. We should not be left with a structure experiencing water problems and more than $14,000 in corrective work after the project was completed.
The barn itself is beautiful, and I genuinely wish I could leave a positive review based on its appearance. But choosing a contractor is about much more than how the finished building looks.
It is about workmanship, communication, honesty, accountability, and--most importantly--what a company does when something goes wrong.
Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering Pinno Buildings to independently verify inspections with their county, carefully review elevations, drainage, grading and excavation plans, get every representation in writing, and consider having an independent professional inspect the work during construction.
We genuinely hoped Pinno Buildings would stand behind this project and work with us toward a fair resolution. Unfortunately, that did not happen, and we are now left paying to correct the problems ourselves.
I wish our experience had been different, but after everything that happened, I cannot recommend Pinno Buildings.
