However I've had to get the Air Conditioner fixed multiple times, which I can understand as normal for the south. The response from Bo Evans tonight is what deserves one star. I came home around 6:30pm to a house that was 90deg. The high today was only 75 so clearly something was wrong. I immediately reported it. After talking to multiple people at Bo Evans, the final response I received was "we'll call the company but it'll probably be morning before they can come. Just turn on the fans." That amount of unprofessionalism it takes to make that statement is embarrassing for the company and owners who trust them to take care of their property. Luckily, May's Heating and Air actually cares and drove straight over to fix the problem. I will most likely be looking to move after my lease is up. There's no reason any property management company should be this incompetent.

From the start, I dealt with tenants screaming in the hallways at all hours, but I ignored it, thinking it was just part of the bargain. Then, two months in, my bathroom ceiling collapsed during a rainstorm, flooding the entire area. The maintenance worker admitted it was a big issue, but instead of handling it properly, management refused to let me out of my lease and insisted on a quick patch job. Unsurprisingly, the ceiling collapsed again just weeks later. When my four-month lease finally ended, I went above and beyond to leave the place spotless--even leaving behind a brand-new mattress for them. During the walkthrough, I was told everything was in perfect condition. Then, over a month later, I got an email deducting a $250 "standard cleaning fee" from my deposit. When I called to dispute it, I was met with the same robotic response: "It's standard." Apparently, it doesn't matter what condition you leave the unit in--Vida will find a way to take your money. This place is a scam. Once they have your rent, they don't care about anything else.

I would strongly recommend against dealing with this manager for the following reasons: 1. He rarely responded to texts or phone calls, even on urgent matters. 2. He seemed to have the intent to sneak provisions in the lease agreement we were signing. There was a provision that we would pay for an extra three months of rent (distributed over the time of our rental). Okay fine except this was not verbally communicated. My husband caught it at the lasts minute and got that provision taken out. However...it was extremely underhanded. 3. He did not provide an itemized list of damages and did not return our deposit. 4. Not only did he not return any of our deposit, we got desperate messages from a cleaning lady Keith Pittard hired who cleaned the property after we moved out. She said he owed her a large sum of money that he specifically agreed to pay her within a two week period. The woman was desperate to pay her own bills. Per usual, we couldn't reach Keith to see what he had agreed to. So we sent her the money. 5. We get the distinct impression that Keith Pittard is taking advantage of us because he knows we have moved out of state. My husband is US military and is gone much of the time. Fighting Keith Pittard to at least get him to perform his basic duties (such as an itemized list of damages) has been too difficult and time consuming up until now.
