Honestly, if you are low income don't waste your time or effort trying to rent here. Their status is highly questionable with HUD. Maintence is backed up well over 2 years of people waiting for compitent maintence staff to fix problems. Current manager loves to threaten with 1430's (eviction warnings) over tiny things such as dishes drying on countertops with a rack to hold them in. Calls tennants personal belongings trash. Rents out spaces with torn up carpets and other problems. read more

Not a lot of communication with the current staff, making it incredibly stressful trying to move out. Though it's not totally their fault. The Pinnacle apartments replaced the staff, but the old staff stole my CO2 batteries from my detector, let me live without a working fridge for months, and messed with my mailbox. However, I am hopeful for the quality of living to go up with Jim being the new property manager. read more

Currently living here. For the most part, it's alright, everything works as it should, save some loose outlets, which worries me. Currently however, the new owner as of last year apparently increased tye rent though never fucking told us. Now their claiming we owe 200 dollars in back rent, which is bullshit because, they increased the rent without giving 30 days notice, which IS REQUIRED by iowa law. We are stuck here for the foreseeable future, unless we can find a place that has better rent/space. But trist me, if you don't want stress, this is not the place for you. Staff is overworked, not provided with proper equipment and parts to perform repair. But they do what they can. Owner/Manager John is a POS crook. Can't properly manage or care for his units. He's also creepy in general. Do NOT move here, not even in a pinch unless you want weekly inspections and a constant flow of 14/30's and threats of evictions. Lots if illegal stuff going on behind the scenes. read more
