Was expecting some actual tour info, never visited this area and only new tidbit I learned was in regards to the golden gate. We did sail past a lighthouse but nothing was said about it! The tour guide, Tony was nice enough, but definitely wasn't engaging. Kinda gave the vibes as if our tour was an after thought and honestly didn't want to be there and not familiar with our boat. Tour also started late because we were sent the wrong address. Captain confirmed but wasn't at the confirmed location when we called and we had to drive elsewhere. No signs or flags just "walk to the back of the restaurant". The boat had tiki decor, but could definitely get a facelift. There were bean bags to sit on that have seen better days. Seats in the front would get splashed with water. The floor had wet turf, so be aware of that! Water was offered and stored in a cooler. The cooler also doubled as a seat. Lack of cup holders. Life jackets were dirty! Being that the tour was a sunset one we were anticipating sailing in the dark. Was not expecting to be sailing in pitch black. The only light was from the shore and other boats. Captain couldn't figure how to turn on the string lights. Even when he supposedly called for assist no one knew how to turn it on. We were offered to extend the trip but definitely declined since what would be the point?! We had a good time because of the fun that we brought. Likely wouldn't return with my family.

Before this trip, my wife wasn't even sure cruising would be something she'd enjoy. Seeing her excitement, laughter, and genuine happiness throughout this vacation has meant more to me than I can express. The entertainment, atmosphere, and incredible staff made this trip truly special. I especially want to recognize several individuals who helped make our experience so memorable. The Cruise Director deserves tremendous recognition for the energy, enthusiasm, and passion brought to the entertainment aboard Paradise. The shows were fantastic, and it was obvious how much effort went into making sure guests had an amazing time. Lulu was an absolute delight! We had so much fun participating in the Harry Potter Trivia, which we actually won! Lulu's personality, humor, and ability to engage everyone made the experience even more enjoyable. Those moments of laughter and fun are what make a vacation unforgettable. Antonio, our waitstaff member, was another standout. His professionalism, attentiveness, and excellent service did not go unnoticed. He demonstrated exactly the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated. One disappointing exception was Vlad, one of the bartenders. Unfortunately, his demeanor came across as unnecessarily arrogant and unwelcoming, which was particularly noticeable given how friendly and professional nearly everyone else aboard had been. Hospitality is about making guests feel comfortable and valued, and our interactions with Vlad fell short of that expectation. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken constructively, as his attitude was the one negative aspect of an otherwise outstanding experience. Despite that isolated disappointment, what speaks volumes about our overall experience is that we've already begun discussing another cruise, but this time bringing our children and possibly even the grandparents! What began as a getaway for just the two of us has inspired us to consider making cruising a family tradition. I sincerely hope the leadership team recognizes the outstanding efforts of the Cruise Director, Lulu, and Antonio. Employees like them are the reason guests leave with wonderful memories and a desire to return. Thank you to everyone aboard Paradise who helped make this vacation so meaningful for my wife and me. We initially booked this ship because of the location that it was departing from and the destinations that it was going to. Being a newer cruise line, there were a lot of things that they needed to fix and they were getting hit with negative reviews on social media. We took a risk and said it is what it is at this point. To our surprise, we actually had a great time on this ship. It was what I was looking for -- easy going, chill, with just enough options to enjoy yourself. The buffet is slim, but it wasn't bad. We loved the cheeseburgers and the pizza options here. I could eat plenty of it. Honestly, I'm pretty sure I had at least one a day. The rooms were surprisingly pretty nice. It was dustier than I would've liked it to be, but it's an older ship. Wish restrooms were nicer. The staff was great. Super friendly overall. Would I come back on this ship? For the price, maybe.

It did and I was thrilled to take my 90 year old dad up to celebrate his birthday. James called me a couple of times in response to my needing to confirm the time of our tour as well as to update me on the schedule. James greeted us and was just super kind, patient, and professional for every minute we spent together. I could not be more appreciative. Dad was thrilled with the experience as was I. My only helicopter experience was in the military many years before. This was obviously quite different and far less stressful, almost relaxing. I absolutely recommend this company. Have a good chat with your pilot before the tour so they know whether you'd prefer smooth "sailing" or a bit of fun maneuvering during the flight.
