However I have to admit that the final results (including prep time and cleanup) are far better and considerably more meticulous than anything we could have done. I had a need for both exterior (+lead abatement) and interior work. While supply chain shortage of matching paint colors stretched out the overall project, AtheH (Randy in particular) kept me regularly informed and made sure that I didn't fall through the cracks during the prolonged process. In the end I am happy with the interior work. The exterior appears greatly improved as well. Alas, both required repeat visits but all was done at no extra cost and throughout reps were gracious and professional. As icing on the cake, my final fees were lower than the amount owed on the original invoice. I do remain a bit unclear as to exactly what the exterior lead removal (adhering to rigorous protocols) really did (other than add considerably to the price). Cost aside (and when I blanched I may well have been living in the past) all things considered I'm happy and satisfied. Oh what the heck, five stars it is.To my eyes Admire the Hue did great work. It's often been said: "You get what you pay for." In my experience a high price is no guarantee of high quality. However high quality almost always carries a higher price tag. I will clarify that I did raise these issues in an email to Randy well in advance of leaving a review. I received no response. It was only after I posted my review that a representative from the company left a message wanting to "discuss" how to improve their process. Other than stating it in a review, I do not believe they did offer to do anything to address the issues or provide a partial refund for the supposed prep work that was never completed. That said, when a Company has failed to supervise their workers such that your home is damaged every time they enter--I'm not sure why they believe we would want them to continue coming back to do the work they failed to do during the first 2 rounds of touch-ups. As time has gone on I have only become more unhappy with the work that was done. We have a lot of cracking, which should not happen in paint that's only a few months old if the area was prepped right. And in doing touchups I've found tape from prior paint jobs that they simply painted over, which is about as lazy as you can get.

We are So pleased with the outcome. We asked him to raise the fireplace box so its more visible from the dining space-we love the added hearth for added seating space. The flooring base is concrete and they needed to even out some cracks. Great attention to detail. Chuck was only a little irritated with me when I requested taking down the popcorn ceiling after they had installed the new fireplace. He did not do anything about either the closet that had had sewage flow into it or the shreds of toilet paper on the tile floor until they were pointed out to him. And after he wiped the tile floor, he used the same cloth to wipe off the door handles he had just sprayed with disinfectant. We talked to him about the need to move the furnace so he could clean behind and under it, but he told us that we would have to arrange for that ourselves. He didn't move anything else out of the furnace room or attempt to clean up the shredded toilet paper that was visible in the corners of the furnace room (see photo). We now have another company that appears to have the right idea about what needs to be done and how to do it.

There were some areas which required innovative ideas to resolve and he offered several creative solutions which worked out very well. I asked him to do some additional work such as hanging a curtain and suspending a picture from the ceiling and painting several additional rooms and he, without any hesitation, agreed to do the work. He is very careful and a perfectionist in his work and at the same time worked very fast. He always cleaned up any mess after a day's work so that the area was very clean.
