I figured it would only be for a few months. We have never left. My kids all love it. The coaches are highly motivating, engaging and supportive. The classes are always different and challenging and the progress I have observed, not only in their skill level and strength, but in their confidence is inspiring. In fact, I believe the training at Fierce is the reason my 8th grader had the stamina and endurance to complete the tryouts for HS lacrosse and make the team this past school year. In two years, I have watched my own kids get faster and stronger for their individual sports and I have also watched the "non-athletes" make incredible gains in strength and self assurance. Ok so I never been one to workout or even think about cycling but this class has completely change…read morethat. This class is life transforming. Cycling is now a part of my life. I not only started working out but I woke up at 5am to be there at 5:30am excited and ready to take on the day. Got a great workout in before most people are even up. This class is addicting and the music is awesome. The 50 minutes just flies by. There is a short personal training session prior to the spinning class(gotta pay extra But def worth it). The owner is incredible and his energy is so electric. The staff is so happy and positive. I love the atmosphere. They offer 3 days free to see if it's for you. It was def for me. I left the area but I'm still spinning. He has a challenge that guarantees 18inches lost in 6 weeks. That's what got me intrigued. I started dropping inches and weight like crazy and it was fast. People at work were asking me my new secret. He helped me make a meal plan and told me to work out at least 4 days a week. I came every day they had a class because I loved it that much. The staff and ladies/gentlemen in the class were awesome too. One lady (that usually rides behind me) that I haven't seen in awhile saw me and said omg I didn't even recognize you. That really made me happy and even more motivated. I have to thank Evan for putting me on to spinning. They moved to a new location. And it's even more amazing. More space and more bikes. Sn: The bike had my thighs and bottom hurting for the first few days but it subsided. You can buy a padded seat(he has some you can use too.) Plenty parking available. Clean facilities. Antibacterial wipes available to use on bikes are on the wall. Water and other products available for purchase. I usually brought my own water and protein bar. Bring a big bottle of water, you will need. Try him out. Stay hydrated and have fun. SN: I noticed spinning makes you very hungry so make sure you don't pig out after class. That will defeat the purpose. High protein/veggies and lots of water. If I'm ever back in the area I'll drop in for a class. She made me feel welcome and helped me get started, she would gently help me "get it right" throughout the practice, and that made all the difference. The Vinyasa Yoga that she teaches at our gym is really popular, the energy in the room is radiant and it attracts people. I have found that Vinyasa Yoga is hard work. Most of us are not used to working out on such a deep core level. But I am liking the results I see on my body & mind! Been going for 8 months now, so I feel that I really got to know her as an instructor. I like her style, she teaches you to get in touch with your feelings and re-connect with your inner being. If you are considering yoga practice, I would honestly recommend Cassandra. She does private sessions as well!

At this particular one there is no basketball court. There is a 3 mile track which passes all the other gyms on this base. Inside you will find all the equipment you need to get in a full workout be it cardio, weightlifting, and the classes offered. There is also a juice/coffee bar inside near the entrance in case you need a pick me up before or after your workout. I will say if you are a treadmill runner pick your equipment carefully as plenty of the treadmills are wobbly and have plenty of give that can result in injury.

Now to say I was a bit apprehensive on my way here would be an understatement. I have not been…read moreinside a Crossfit facility (aka, Box) or even did a solid workout (more than 30 minutes) in almost a year. Then I decided to take advantage of the 3 free visits* and get back on track. My hip hop blaring, my water bottle full, small towel folded and ready for sweat I rolled in on a Monday evening. As a point of reference for location, it is about 14 minutes from downtown Augusta if traffic is good. You will see that the front of the building belongs to a ministry, which leaves their additional parking open except on Wednesday nights. You won't be able to miss the sound of grunting, weights bouncing off the floor, and music getting your heart rate up. As I walked in, one of the trainers introduced himself and shared how the process would go (online paperwork, warm ups, workout). Another trainer aided me with the warm up, as I wasn't sure what all the terms were. They both did an excellent job of describing the terminology and not making me feel out of place for having to ask. To be honest, I was worn out by the time the workout began. The primary trainer for the session had me take it easy and we focused on the methods of each exercise more so than how many reps I could do. It was nice to have the experience of a work out without being flung into it unprepared. By the end of the session, everyone had introduced themselves and said they hoped I came back. Between the gasps of air and constant wiping of sweat, I told them I would. That night I slept like I haven't in a long time. This is a good place with good people who are encouraging and patient and inclusive with their workout sessions. If you have questions or fears about Crossfit, come here.
