We went in the earlier part of the morning around 10 AM, we were prepared to get bit by mosquitos, to get wet, and the terrible heat. We were lucky we did not get a single bite by mosquitos, the boat got wet at our feet, but we did not, and the boat is covered so heat was not bad. We saw like 8 alligators, some birds and turtles. So, I went for the next best opportunity and leaving my review on Yelp. It shouldn't take too long to realize, this is a must do tour. We love learning about the areas we visit, listen and learn authentic information of the area by passionate locals. Dani encompasses all of that and more. We had already visited the San Carlos Institute in Key West and gained information on the history of Cuba and the citizens escaping Castro and his regime. What a beautiful culture of food, music, dance, clothing, art they brought to the US. Do not eat before you come as you will miss out on the fabulous sampling of Cuban food & drink. There is enough food on this tour that you will not leave hungry. I won't restate all the offerings which you can see from reviews and the tour posting. We have never had Empanadas as good as today and that was just the start. I hope the area of Little Havana continues to thrive and many people experience it. When my family was embarking on a cruise from Fort Lauderdale, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce my own kids to the Jungle Queen. It's a short boat ride that takes you through the canals behind the mansions and quasi-famous homes on the water. Your guide on board will tell you about the homes and landmarks you pass en route. There is a bar on board, so no need to sail sober! LOL There are also a few snacks for purchase. The air movement on the boat keeps you from getting too warm, even when the sun is blazing, but don't forget your sunscreen. There's no bad seat aboard. All in all, it's a nice little boat ride if you're looking to get outside and burn some time in Fort Lauderdale. There is a string of food shops along the waterfront outside the entrance, so you can plan to grab lunch or dinner before or after your ride. We really enjoyed our trip, but I'm deducting one star due to the boat traffic (which I know they cannot really help). Maneuvering around all the other drunks in their watercraft was kind of a drag.

It was late in the day and we had tried to do some Airboat Tours earlier in the week but we were traveling with our dog and they were not dog friendly. We decided to stop just to check and luckily for us, not only are they dog friendly but they were doing one last tour before the sunlight was gone. Our guide Fabian was awesome. He was super chill but informative and really did a great job. Especially considering that is was late in the day and he was only able to find one alligator. He definitely tried a lot of spots and it was clear that there would normally have been more wildlife to look as so even he seemed a bit disappointed but he definitely made the most of the birds and other wildlife that we did spot. There was a second alligator and even a baby gator when we arrived at the makeshift village stop that we watched swim in the water a bit. I really liked that Fabian was upfront about the fact that the "village" was just a replica for tourists and not really a relic. He also joked that he has a TV and it is nothing like how native people live today. We had a really nice time on the tour but it is incredibly loud and we spent some of the tour putting our headphones over our dogs ears to protect her from the sound. The office workers warned us about the noise though and they were so sweet they even offered to let her stay in the office with them while we took the tour. I definitely would not take her with us again if we did another tour, but only because I worried about her little ears. She did super well with everything else, including the gator being so close to us and getting on and off the boat. We spent well over $100 after tip on the tour for two people and a dog and it lasted about 45 minutes but I really feel like the experience was well worth the price and the employees here were just so friendly and kind. I highly recommend stopping here and taking a tour with this company.
