Would not recommend. I was in need of a quick mani pedi and this place was the closest to the hotel I was staying at. The location is somewhat secluded and was tucked into the middle of a plaza. Luckily, I found my way from a sign they had placed out at the ends of the plaza, or else I would still be circling around aimlessly.
As an American, I was still getting used to the no tipping idea, but I couldn't help but wondered if the girls here would have done a better job if I tipped them. First off, they claim that they do not do separate manis or pedis - that the mani pedi combo was the only option. As ridiculous as that sounded, I obliged because I was in a hurry. I was impressed by the speed in which they were able to get me out of there; two girls simultaneously came to service me, one at my feet and one on my hands. However, the whole time they were talking away rapidly in Vietnamese and did not stop to even ask how I wanted my nails filed or if cuticle cutting is ok- I had to point it out and even then, it seemed like a mistake from the looks they were giving me that implied I was interrupting a very important conversation. The quality of my mani pedi was subpar for the price I paid, but once again, it was my mistake for rushing into a salon without doing my research.
Overall, a reliable nail salon located in the heart of King's Cross, but don't expect quality work. read more
